HELP Can You All PLEASE SHARE Scooby? He doesn't realize his world is about to turn upside down....
URGENT ~ FOSTER or FOSTER To ADOPT DESPERATELY NEEDED
(Central PA)
Scooby was rescued by Furry Friends Network a couple years ago. He was adopted as a puppy, and has enjoyed life as a devoted family member and friend to the children in his home.
You can imagine how saddened we were to receive a plea to return him. Scooby’s family unit has broken down and separated; with mom and the kids forced to move in with family; where Scooby is not welcome.
While we can’t share specifics, we can say that Scooby has been through some really difficult times; and like some in his home, has experienced a lot of trauma. Now he has lost everything he thought was his forever. We are determined to find a way to re-write his story so it ends with him finding love that lasts his lifetime.
Scooby is a Redbone Coonhound Mix with a beautiful red coat, and distinctive white chest markings.
His approximate date of birth given by the shelter is 09/10/2022. He weighs 70 lbs., is neutered and current on required vaccines.
Scooby is housebroken, has no accidents, loves being and playing outside and loves children and other dogs he gets to spend time around. Being a hound, he would likely not be good in a home with cats. But that is not known.
Scooby has not been crated since his adoption in April 2023 (at 6 mos old). But, he had been crated while being fostered. His adopter says he has always had free access to his home when left alone; but never spent more that 4 hrs. by himself. He barks on occasion when excited or playing with humans and other dogs. In other words, he’s a good communicator.
Scooby has grown up with his adoptive children; as both are preschoolers and one was an infant when he joined the family.
Though he did attend obedience classes as required by the rescue,
his adopter indicates he has a tendency to pull when leashed. (Likely excitement to go out and explore).
Additionally, he allows you to touch his feet, face and belly, and has never shown signs of possessiveness or resource guarding.
Scooby’s adopter feels he would do best in a home with other dogs for play and exercise.
“He is a snuggly dude who will tell you when it’s bed time. He has slept with my children and I since he was adopted.”
SCOOBY NEEDS a place to go as pressure is being put on those he Is with to move him out. They are devastated, but cannot keep him
now.
