LET THEM SNIFF
So often, I witness a dog stop on his leashed walk to sniff only to be pulled away by his handler. Sniffing is a powerful need for dogs mental exercise and well being. It is more beneficial than the physical walk. If you don't have time to let them stop and sniff, walk them around your own yard. Pulling them from a good sniff can cause them to be anxious, bored and unfulfilled, and result in unwanted behaviors. It's THEIR WALK. Make it useful for their whole being and not simply to potty.

Have a great celebration today! If your pup is noise sensitive, help them with a cozy spot and muffle the loud booms with fans amd calming music. Long walks with a lot of sniffing today, and enrichment with puzzle feeders and lick mats today will also help to relax pup for later!
