Had a great time at the Pittsfield First Baptist Church yesterday for the “Advanced Turkey Hunting Seminar” they put on! I’m open for turkeys this spring! Call or message me for prices and inquiries!

WHAT A WEEKEND! I cannot believe this is my 3rd year compeating at the Illinois Taxidermy Association annual convention! I debuted my second ever stained glass inlay deer,receiving my first 2nd place ribbon on a whitetail and a 1st place on the glass! I also got my very first 1st on a piece of taxidermy with my piebald squirrel, I also received Best in Category with this guy aswell. It is a major honor to get a major award like this! The biggest and best surprise this year was getting 2nd place Competitor Award! This was determined by the total score of the 4 mounts I showed this year , the deer, squirrel, prairie dog and coyote! I cannot thank my judges and fellow ITA members enough! Your kind words, encouragement , and positive attitudes that continue to drive and inspire me to grow and improve as a taxidermist. Finally I am so excited to say that I was voted to be on the ITA Board. I’m kinda still in shock that I was nominated and voted in to serve the ITA and its members. When I joined the association 3 years ago I never could have imagined being where I am today. Thank you to all the ITA member that believe in me and see something in me that they think will better the association, it’s truly and honor. Tomorow it’s back to work in the shop as usual, but I will already be scheming for next year !

Another big ol boy got sent home today!

Custom wall pedestal went home earlier this week! The snowy backdrop made for some amazing finish pictures! If anyone has deer or any other critters hiding away in their freezer I’m still open for work this year! What’s a taxidermy mount you’ve always dreamed of hanging on your wall?

Still more work to do on this once in a lifetime critter, but it’s simply too cool not to give an update. This is a rare piebald fox squirrel, born to look like the snow covered landscape that is currently outside the shop door. This stunning creature has been quite stressful to work on simply because of its true -one of a kind- nature. With the hardest part behind me now I can focus on the little bit of finish work that will be needed before this guy goes home! What would yall do if you came across one of these half-ghostly tree rats in the woods?

For those of you that have been following me over the years will see it! Really getting these deer figured out now! Look at this beautiful big bruiser of a buck! There is still plenty of time left to get your buck to me! Still taking deer for the 2024 season!
