Old School Sport Horses Welcome to Old School Farm! We offer lessons, training, sales, and boarding for the Northern Virginia area!

Bruce Leland - has been a trainer and rider of winning Hunters and Jumpers and a coach of winning riders at the highest levels of the sport for more than 35 years. He has produced winners from New England to California and from Wellington to Spruce Meadows, from the ponies to the Grand Prix ring. Bruce has coached National Champions of The United States, Canada, and Mexico, and has trained, ridden

, or sold a USEF zone champion in virtually every hunter and jumper division. He has been coach of the United States Military Equestrian Team and has taught clinics all over the country and in numerous foreign countries as well. Old School Farm is located in an idyllic setting in Bluemont Va, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are 15 minutes from the fabled Upperville Showgrounds, 20 minutes from Middleburg and 15 minutes from Purcellville. Dulles Airport is only 35 minutes away and Winchester is 30 minutes from the farm. We have fantastic facilities indoor and out, with plenty of ride out in Piedmont Hunt territory. Old School Farm offers lessons from 5yrs-95yrs and for beginners to professionals. We attend both A Rated and Schooling Shows as well as Horse Trials. Old School Farm always has a quality selection of Imported and Domestic horses and ponies for sale or lease. We also offer boarding and training for a limited number of horses. We had a great couple of weeks at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper. Liam Ruderman was first in the High Children's/Adult Jumper Classic the first week and second week two after stepping up a Division. Samantha Fisher is making tremendous strides stepping up in her Division and got great ribbons both weeks. Gabi Welch is becoming an amazing rider and got some good ribbons along with some challenges. Daunting for an 11 year old to step into the big ring in only her second Rated Show! The future is bright for Team Old School!

We had a fantastic show at the Mason Dixon Classic at Swan Lake. Top ribbons in almost every class. Two Stakes winners and two Division Championships. Liam Ruderman, Meredith Schramm-Strosser, Samantha Fisher, Gabi Welch and Angelina Rossi all rode beautifully and the horses were great! We attend both Rated and Schooling Shows.
