While i was doin some office work Eli drug each toy out of the basket and after about 15 secs moved on to the next … I decided to take a break and play for the win!

Dog introductions 101:
Know the dogs. Give them space. Don’t force the interaction. Let them go at their own pace.

Today Eli met “the girls” — and he was polite And Showed them he was not a threat.
A little shy, lots of sniffing, slow approaches, and respectful pauses.

That’s exactly what we love to see.
No pressure. No rushing. Just calm, thoughtful choices.

Meet Eli.

Sometimes in life, owners face the hard reality that they simply aren’t the right fit — not because they don’t care, but because the dog’s needs are bigger than what they can realistically provide.

Eli is an 8-month-old Labrador puppy — happy, bouncy, full of energy, and getting stronger every single day. He came from a loving single-owner home, but his person didn’t have the time, energy, or physical ability to keep up with him and give him the structure and outlets he needs.

So Eli will be staying with me for a while as a foster. He’ll be learning manners, building good habits, and getting plenty of healthy outlets for all that puppy enthusiasm. In time, he’ll be looking for the right home — one that matches his needs, drive, and personality.

I’ll be sharing his training journey along the way so you can follow his progress. He also shows some exciting potential as a working partner, so I’ll be evaluating him further and likely introducing some hunting drills to keep his brain and body engaged.

Stay tuned — this boy has a bright future ahead. 🐾
