Wet Noses Animal Rescue We are a Foster based rescue in Blue Ridge, GA that pulls animals from high kill-shelters throughout the state and finds them loving homes.

Wet Noses Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Founded in 2020 by Abe and Tracey Abrams, we are a foster based rescue that pulls animals from high kill-shelters in the Atlanta area and find them loving homes. While we have a variety of breeds, ages, and sizes, we focus on senior, special needs, small dogs, and puppies. We rely on a volunteer network to help with our lifesaving work. Volunteers provide transportation (aka Freedom Rides) from county animal shelters to the rescue. Once an animal arrives, they receive full medical care, a lot of love, and behavioral support as they adjust to their foster home.

⚠️ A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: Tulip has significant allergies and currently takes Numelvi and cyclosporine to manage them. She needs a secure, fenced yard because this little wanderer likes to explore! We suspect that may be how she ended up lost in the first place. 😉

Tulip doesn’t need a perfect world. She needs a family who will love her, care for her special needs, and make sure she never gets lost again. ❤️

Meet KOBE! 🐶💙 This 10-month-old mini poodle sweetheart is the ultimate cuddler, a total lovebug, and the kind of companion who just wants to be close to his people. He weighs 12.3 pounds🥺🥰

🏡 Let’s talk about Kobe’s dream home!

💕 Professional-level cuddler — personal space? He doesn’t know her! 😂

🐾 Needs a furry best friend! Kobe needs a home with at least one other dog to play with and keep him company.

🚪 House-trained! This smart boy already knows his potty manners!

🫶 Homebody wanted! His previous owner worked and attended college, leaving him alone more than she wanted. She loved him enough to recognize he deserved more companionship. ❤️

Kobe isn’t asking for much. He just wants a family that has plenty of time for him, another dog to be his buddy, and a human who doesn’t mind having a furry shadow following them around. 😂🐾

He doesn’t love being crated, and being alone for long periods isn’t his thing. His ideal family would be someone who is home most of the time and wants a devoted little companion by their side.

🌸🌺 LYLA UPDATE!!! SHE’S READY FOR HER FOREVER FAMILY! 🌺🌸

Remember our beautiful little Lyla from the hoarding case? 🥹💗

This shy little girl has come SO FAR! And now we’re thrilled to say…

🩷 Lyla had her luxating patella surgery and has officially completed her 6 WEEKS of recovery! 🩷

She’s healed. She’s ready. And now all she needs is YOU. 🏡💕

Lyla is about 1 year old and just 14 pounds of pure sweetness! She’s a Cavalier King Charles/Poodle/Terrier mix and, like so many of the dogs from this heartbreaking hoarding situation, she didn’t grow up knowing what it felt like to be loved, held, comforted, and truly safe.

She’s still a little shy and unsure when she first meets you… but once Lyla trusts you, she melts into the sweetest little cuddle bug. 🥹❤️

She doesn’t need someone to rush her.

She doesn’t need someone to “fix” her.

She needs someone who will give her time. Someone gentle and patient who will let her discover that the world can be a beautiful place—and that she finally has a family who will never let her down. 🌸

This sweet little guy came to us from the giant hoarding case, and he’s approximately 1 year old and only 13 pounds.

Munchkin is a Cavalier mix who is timid, but he is coming around beautifully. 🥹❤️ Everything is new for him, so he needs a patient, loving adopter who understands that dogs from situations like this are works in progress.

He needs someone who will give him the time, patience, reassurance, and love he deserves while he learns what it feels like to be safe. Once he trusts you, we believe this little guy is going to blossom. 🐾

Meet Tulip, a spayed female Frenchie who is currently available for adoption through Wet Noses Animal Rescue. 💕

The verdict? Potato and Tulip got along GREAT! 🎉 Potato passed with flying colors, and we couldn’t be happier to share this update!

Einstein was one of 38 dogs rescued from a horrific hoarding situation. He had never been touched or shown love, and now he’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cherished. 🥹

🚨🐾 $5 FRIDAY — 8 LITTLE LIVES LEARNING TO FEEL SAFE. 💔

Eight little souls. One urgent rescue. And a world they’re still too terrified to understand. 🥺💔

That’s 48 DOGS we have taken in over the last couple months from hoarding & backyard breeding….😭💔

These Shih Tzu mixes came to us from a backyard breeder situation, and right now, they’re scared of just about everything. They’ve never been properly handled or experienced the love and kindness every dog deserves.

So we’re letting them set the pace. ❤️

No forcing. No rushing. No expectations.

Just a quiet, safe space where they can decompress, observe, and decide for themselves when they’re ready to trust us. Every little step forward matters. 🩵💙

This is what rescue looks like sometimes. It’s patience. It’s compassion. It’s giving them the time they need, even when we wish we could take their fear away overnight.
