Today we were made aware that it was posted that a horse here on November 7th/8th has tested for EHV-4 (not EHV-1). All horses onsite for that weekend had health papers and coggins in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirements. Since opening our facility 10 years ago, our protocol after every show, every week, is to clean our stalls completely and disinfect every single surface including aisles along with pressure washing general areas. This is nothing new to us because we believe in biohazard practices. The horse in question was stalled in our outside open air barn and that barn is always disinfected as well. Since the sale 16 days ago, that barn has not been used for any horses. Our facility is not only a show facility but a place we keep all of our 20 personal horses and we use it daily and have had no sick horses. Our thoughts and prayers are with our horse community

Urgent - Urgent - Urgent - Keystone Riders here tonight - It is 1AM and there is a white healer with spots, docked tail and bandana that has slipped its collar and made a left out of our driveway down the road. If anyone knows whose dog this might be, please call them immediately so they can start searching for it. It had a brown leather collar but it has no tags or identification on it and we have it in the show office.

To our NBHA Members, here is the link to the post about the PA State Show being held at Keystone Horse Center September 6-8, 2024.
You must be an active NBHA member and have ridden in 3 show days to be able to run the state finals.
Our next Keystone Barrel Classic show weekend, August 30-September 1st (Labor Day Weekend) will give you two show days to run to qualify.

Pennsylvania NBHA Members - Keystone Horse Center is excited to again host the 2024 NBHA Pennsylvania State Show on September 6-8, 2024.

Keystone Horse Center Bloomsburg neighbors. This beautiful Barbary Dove walked into our barn. These doves are domesticated and this one is friendly. It is not banded. Reach out to us if you know where it might belong or if you can rehome it as we cannot keep it due to our barn cats.

Sorters - we are excited to be hosting the Turkey Sort this upcoming weekend - November 10, 11, 12th. It's going to be a beautiful fall weekend so come on out and enjoy a fun weekend with your friends. Remember this event is open to everyone. If you are not an existing RSNC member, your first year membership is FREE!

To those of you who have not been to our facility yet, please read the following directions. We have a very trailer friendly exit for you to use but your GPS will try and take you via a shorter route, if you are coming Route 80 West, which is not.

Located off of Interstate Route 80, Lightstreet Exit 236 (East), 236B (West)
2.2 miles from exit to farm
Easy access roads will accommodate all sizes of trailers.
Route 80 East, take exit 236, make a right off the exit, then make a right at the first light onto Sawmill Road.
Route 80 West, take exit 236B, make right off the exit, then make a right at the first light onto Sawmill Road.
Sawmill Road turns into Horse Farm Road, once you cross over Shafer Road.
Keystone Horse Center is on your left.
DO NOT FOLLOW GPS DIRECTIONS IF YOU ARE COMING 80 WEST BOUND (Not trailer friendly)
(PA Turnpike exit to get to Route 80 is the Pocono Exit 95)

Calling all Sorters!!! - Keystone Horse Center will be hosting a sanctioned RSNC event November 10, 11, 12, 2023. What?? Not an RSNC Member? No worries - RSNC gives you the first year membership for FREE!!! Why think about joining? Since June 20th of this year (just 4 months), they have already paid out over $1.2 Million dollars at RSNC sanctioned events. Come find out what it's all about and sort some cows and have some fun!! All the information you need is on the flyer - direct your questions to Beth Shaw or Michelle Felcetto at the numbers listed.

Going to be a great weekend of sorting - don't miss it.

Keystone Slot Race POLE BENDERS - We keep getting requests to have another slot race for Pole Benders. While we are hoping that we get the same number that we got for first one, we have decided to go ahead with another slot race with the number of entries we receive. The class will be run after the Barrel Slot Race just like the July Show (we will announce a time later but no earlier than 6 PM). The entry fee will be the same as last time, $500 per slot, and it will be a 3D, 90% payout. Payouts will be based on the number of pole benders signed up. So, get the word out - the more riders the larger the pot!
