The Doghouse

The Doghouse The Doghouse is a dog boarding facility located on County Road 26, right off of Highway 218 in Bloom Outdoor runs, and also tie-outs. Lots of TLC.

We have multiple 5x7 indoor kennels that are heated/air conditioned. We board any breed, any size.

August is filling up fast, there’s only a few dates open and only a couple for Labor Day. It’s been extremely hot and humid so keep giving your pets fresh water and shade or even bring them in the house, if your dog is part of your family then treat them like family, I don’t think you would want to be left outside in the heat and drink warm water.
There have been rumors of dog thefts so if you’re planning on taking your dog with you over the holiday weekend keep your dog close and keep your eyes open.
I have been having questions again about smelly dogs. First check and see if they have maybe rolled in something, if not and the smell is still there even after a bath and they’re scooting their butt across the floor or the grass it’s time to have the a**l glands done and your vet does that. Make sure you have a good product for fleas and ticks, the ticks are really bad now and because of the heat and humidity they’re double trouble. If they have a tick, make sure you remove the head of the tick also and check their ears also, mites multiply in the heat and humidity to.
Have a fun and safe holiday weekend and if you’re driving long distance, drive safe and please stay hydrated and stay off your phone.
