A GA shelter partner reached out for help & of course, we said yes. She is safe at our vet partner. She just got to vet, so we will know more tomorrow, but we have NO idea how she got this way. She obviously needs surgery.

Please be safe out there! Just got word from a fellow classmate (ER veterinarian in Seattle area) during her shift yesterday they had 8 dogs DOA due to heat stroke, most short nosed breeds! Please provide shade, plenty of water, allow access to house if possible and DO NOT take any walks unless early in the morning. ~ Dr. S

This opossum was caught on a glue trap. He has gone thru two very warm oil treatments to help break down the glue. We have to do another removal treatment later today.( he can only take so much stress). Glue traps are cruel- non target species are caught- small owls, songbirds, snakes, lizards-the list goes on. Please use a catch and release trap or a snap trap if you must. SWR stocks both these type traps and can supply you at cost.
