About Us
Peaceful Creatures Behavior Training is here to help with the behavior problems of your pets, whether it be basic training or more troublesome problems. Behavior modeling starts when animals are infants and behavior problems can be prevented by proper training when they are young. Peaceful Creatures Behavior Training has an emphasis in Puppy Socialization. We will soon be offering Puppy Socialization Classes for puppies 9-16 weeks of age as well as classes for dogs of any age. In- home consultations are now available.
Amber might be newer to the area, but she has been in the veterinary field since 2001. Having left a frustrating career as a fashion retail manager, she decided to pursue a career that she loved, and one that would be rewarding. She graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2004 as a Certified Veterinary Technician and worked in Memphis, TN as a CVT until her move to Colorado Springs in 2012. Since moving to Colorado, she has worked with veterinary behaviorist E'Lise Christensen and graduated from Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program. She only uses positive reinforcement behavior techniques in her training.
Her love for animals doesn't stop when she leaves the vet office, though. She is also very active in animal rescue and is part of the local animal disaster response team, as well as the ASPCA animal response team. Her large family includes 3 dogs, 3 cats, 4 goats, 2 guinea pigs, and 3 rats. She enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, running, and biking but also reading and watching movies. She is also a vegan.
