I was asked to put something together about myself and my business. This is hard for me to do. I have always been an animal person . I had my first dog at the age of 5 a black lab named Lucky. From there I have had dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, goats, cows, horses, ducks, geese, and I have loved them all. I attended school to become a vet tech, but I didn't want to be the one to put them to sleep. I wanted to make a difference in their life. In 1999 I gave up the freight and office work and started working at a kennel, and loved it but I wanted more, so I got a job at another kennel and started my grooming journey. In 2002 I graduated my grooming classes and started part time grooming from a room in my house. My family always supported me, but it was time to get my own shop. So in 2007 I opened my very own shop and started doing boarding as well, but I had the knowledge from before but wanted more and expand. My mind is constantly going and trying to make every pet I touch feel better. I take great pride in my business that I have built. In 2011 the state wanted my property for a road project, so they bought me out, and I was lucky enough to have my neighbor offer me a chunk of his land to build my new dream on. It was great to design and build my dream shop with my home behind so I can keep my boarding pets as safe as I can and to provide the best of the best for the animals I care for and about. For a lot of people that do what I do its all about the money. Not me its about the care these pets get, and every day looking for things, and getting more knowledge of how to make and keep them happy and healthy. Yes I get tired, but the passion I have for what I do is my energy, this is the life I chose and I love every moment. When a owner comes to get their pet and they are both happy and satisfied, I know I did my job and did it great with love!
