What an insanely busy day! We now have four males from Frostburg for tomorrow’s appointments (an awesome volunteer trapper caught the kitty below tonight). We dropped a trap off at a location in Grantsville to finish trapping there. We now have two sets of nice mom cats with kittens with two separate fosters (please check out our chewy wishlist so we can get some supplies to our awesome volunteers!). We dropped off a carrier to a house in Westernport so a caretaker can grab the last male cat in a colony. And we’ve made plans and coordinated with so many people in both counties today to get more cats fixed. Please help us find a home for our foster kitten Ophelia!

Ophelia was spayed today! She’s such a sweet girl but a little on the shy side. We are looking to find her forever home now. She combo tested negative for FIV and FeLV and will be dewormed and will have initial vaccines prior to adoption. She will do well with other cats but we have not tested her with dogs. Her ideal owner would be someone with some time to further socialize her. We’ve only had her three days and she loves to curl up in my lap so I think she will be accepting of a new person who is calm and patient with her starting out. She must go to an indoor only home. If you’re interesting in adopting her or fostering her, please reach out. We do allow foster to adoption routes to see if it works out in your home.

We still desperately need donations so we can get more Allegany county cats fixed. We get the appointments at low cost but need funding to fix the cats. As a new rescue, we’re not eligible for grant funding until next year so we’re relying entirely on public donations.
