We are not a professional breeder we had Caucasian Ovcharkas “AS PETS” for the last 15 years, our Caucasians are imports from Belarus and Ukraine and some from Russia. I studied (Architecture) in the city of Odessa on the black sea - Ukraine, the former USSR and there is where I was acquainted with “Caucasians shepherds” that some of my students friends had in their “dachas” (summer cottages), a

lways love and admired the powerful breed, and see how they can sleep and play in the snow and have all sort of activities in very cold negative temperature of the Ukraine’s winter, so the first time I had the opportunity, I start importing them, I started with "Ovechka" (SHEEP - in English) a white coated Caucasian Ovharka imported from Minsk – Belarus, she was born on Dec 24 2000 on Christmas day, we had Ovechka for 11 years and she left us this last February of the year 2010. After that we imported “gazer” but named him “Misha” the Odessit, a male Caucasian from Odessa Ukraine and this year 2011 acquired 2 more females from Est. - Alfa kennel in Las Vegas - Nevada under the supervision of Mr.Vasili Platunov.
