Lavender is an adult Pittie girl. She is a happy, fun girl who enjoys playing with the other puppies in her foster home, snuggling with her humans and napping 💤 Lavender’s favorite things are dinner, her toys and treats. 🤣

She is a smart cookie who has mastered crate training and is doing great with house training.
Her foster mom describes Lavey as being laidback, a little shy and as sweet as pie! 💕
She is great with the older children in her foster home and would make a wonderful family dog or companion.

Meet Elijah — a handsome Shepherd/Hound mix puppy with the sweetest personality and the cutest floppy ears! At just 5–6 months old and around 30 lbs, Elijah is the perfect mix of playful adventure buddy and cuddle companion.

Found wandering in rural Alabama, Elijah quickly decided that humans with food were definitely his kind of people — “Have food? Let’s go!” Since then, he has blossomed into an incredibly loving, social pup who adores everyone he meets. He is wonderfully friendly with other dogs, loves to chase balls, run and play, and is always excited for snack time!

Elijah is also doing amazing with his manners. He rides wonderfully in the car, is almost perfect on a leash, and sleeps quietly in his crate all night long. After playtime, he’s happiest curled up close to his people soaking up cuddles and affection.

Elijah is looking for a family that will love his goofy, happy spirit and continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he is becoming. He’s the total package — affectionate, fun, smart, and full of love!

🧡🧡 🐾 Meet Ozzy! Your Little Adventure Buddy! 🐾 🧡🧡

Ozzy is a one-year-old, 22-pound little guy who is full grown and may be a chihuahua/miniature schnauzer mix. He’s the perfect combination of playful, loving, and adventurous!

❤️ Ozzy is a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than snuggling in your lap. He still has plenty of puppy energy, making him a wonderful potential hiking buddy or companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures.

🚗 He rides beautifully in the car, settles nicely in his kennel at night, and is doing wonderfully with house training using a dog door. He absolutely loves his toys and favorite bones, already knows how to sit for a treat, and is very attentive to his person. He also enjoys playing with other dogs!

Ozzy has so much love to give and is ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty of cuddles to share, Ozzy might just be your perfect match! 🐶💙

🐾 **PET TIP TUESDAY: Moving Doesn't Mean Leaving Your Dog Behind.**

We're going to be a little spicy because apparently this needs repeating.

**When you adopted your dog, you made a commitment. That commitment doesn't expire when your lease does.**

We regularly receive surrender requests from people who are moving and suddenly need their dogs gone.

We understand genuine emergencies happen. Domestic violence, homelessness, and serious financial hardship can leave families with impossible choices. **This post isn't about them.**

This is about the people who simply don't want to be inconvenienced.

Finding pet-friendly housing might take more effort. You might have to pay a deposit, compromise on location, or adjust your plans.

**That's part of owning a dog.**

Shelters are overflowing. Rescues are beyond capacity. Wonderful dogs are waiting months or years for homes, while others are losing theirs because someone decided moving without them would be easier.

And here's our question: **If you're unwilling to make accommodations for the dog you already love, why should a stranger be expected to?**

Your dog doesn't care about granite countertops, square footage, or your preferred neighborhood.

**They care about being with you.**

Before posting "moving, need gone ASAP," ask yourself whether you've truly exhausted your options or just chosen the most convenient one.

**Your dog is a lifelong commitment, not a temporary arrangement until life gets inconvenient.** ❤️

🐾 Meet Luna! 🐾

Luna is a beautiful 7-month-old Shepherd/Retriever mix with a sweet heart and lots of puppy energy! 💕 She is smart, loyal, and loves having room to run, play, and explore.

Luna is house-trained, although she may occasionally have a puppy accident. She is healthy and up to date on all of her vaccines.

She enjoys the company of larger dogs and would do best with a confident canine friend her size or bigger. Because of her play style, Luna is looking for a home without cats or small dogs. 🐾

A home with a large, secure outdoor space for her to burn off some of that puppy energy would be ideal.

🐾 Three years. Zero applications. 🐾

We genuinely cannot understand how Abednego is still waiting. While puppies have come and gone, this boy has quietly grown up in rescue watching everyone else get picked first. And honestly? He deserves so much better than that. 💔

✨ Meet Abednego ✨
A 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with the cutest little nub tail and a personality big enough to fill your whole house.

Abednego is the kind of dog who makes life fun.
He’s playful, affectionate, goofy, smart, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing.

🎾 Throw a ball? He’s in.
🚶 Want an adventure buddy? Absolutely.
🛋️ Need a couch companion after a long day? He’s already there waiting.

Like many herding mixes, Abednego is intelligent and active, so he’d thrive with a family that enjoys engagement, structure, and including their dog in daily life. He doesn’t want to just exist in the background — he wants to be your buddy.

And despite spending such a huge portion of his life in rescue, he has remained loving, hopeful, and ready to connect with people.

That’s what breaks our hearts the most.

Because somewhere out there is a person who would look at Abednego and say:
👉 “That’s MY dog.”

They just haven’t found him yet.
