✨ LUNA – Looking for Her Second Chance ✨

Luna’s story is a heartbreaking one. Adopted as a tiny pup named Gigi four years ago, she grew up loved and settled into family life. But recently, through no fault of her own, Luna lost everything she knew when her owner fell on hard times and lost their home.

After spending two weeks with a wonderful foster in New England, Luna returned to rescue—even though she had no home waiting. She’s been living in boarding ever since, where she tries her best to stay cheerful, but it’s clear she desperately misses having a family, a bed, and a normal life.

Luna is house-trained, leash-trained, calm, gentle, and wonderful with every person and animal she’s met. She enjoys doggy daycare, loves car rides, and is equally happy stretching her legs at the dog park or snoozing through a low-energy day.

Her most endearing quirk? Luna carries shoes.
Not to chew—never destructively—but as her comfort item. She picks up a shoe when she’s happy, when she’s sad, when she’s lonely. Her northern foster even sent her home with two small pairs so she’d have her favorites with her.

Luna is incredibly people-oriented and hates feeling left behind. She bonds deeply, loves fully, and is so ready to give her heart to someone again. She doesn’t need anything fancy—just a family who will let her finally feel safe.

This sweet, silly, and seriously overlooked boy has been waiting far too long for his forever home.

Macon was rescued years ago after being found running down a highway in Macon County. Since then, he’s been in the care of well-meaning people who are doing their best to do right by him while this energetic boy has been quietly waiting for his happily ever after.

Meet Bella-boo! 🥰

While driving to a vet visit for another pup, Bella-boo was found foraging for food on the side of a rural highway with no houses around. She was understandably hesitant to approach, but some food did the trick!

She has come around to be one of the most loving, cuddly brindle lap dogs. Bella will be your shadow, but she also loves to run around in the back yard, and is a good alert dog.

Most importantly, Bella-boo, lovingly nicknamed Baby Girl, LOVES to snuggle and sleep on the bed. She has no concept of personal space, for either people or other dogs. She loves to lick other dogs in the face, so if you have a dog already, be sure they are patient, and love to snuggle with other dogs!

Shepherd Mix | Male | Born October 1

Clyde is a gentle, tender-hearted pup with a calm and loving presence. While he enjoys affection, he also has a slightly more independent streak than his sister and is content to relax on his own or quietly take in the world around him.

He is crate trained and working on house training. Clyde will need frequent potty breaks, as he continues learning — patience and routine will help him flourish. Clyde sleeps like a pro, curled up comfortably and peaceful as can be, showing off his excellent relaxation skills.

With his sweet nature and easygoing personality, Clyde will make a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for a loving pup with a mellow side.

Meet Coop, a teenage beagle/dachshund mix with lots of personality and confidence in a little low-rider body.

Coop is playful, super friendly and totally unfazed by the fact all his friends are bigger than him. He loves to zoom around the yard and have all his doggy friends chase him.

Coop is likely full grown at 8-9 months old and approximately 30 lbs. He has a beagle body and demeanor, and a dachshund face, but he may also have other breeds in the mix.

Coop was a stray who spent almost two months at the shelter before his foster mom brought him home. While we don’t know his past, Coop acts as if nothing bad has ever happened to him. He’s a confident little fella who greets every dog and human he meets with lots of love, including kids. He’s super affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses.

Coop is a very well-adjusted boy and would be an easy addition to almost any home. He’s potty trained, crate trained and walks great on a leash. He would do well in an apartment with an active owner who wants to walk him and take him to run around at the dog park. Or he would do great paired with another playful dog at a home with a big fenced-in yard. Coop is energetic, but he is happy to chill after his morning walk or playtime. He’s a really good boy who could easily be taken along for all of life’s adventures!

Meet Jerry!
This pint-sized powerhouse is the perfect blend of Pit Bull Terrier and Chihuahua, with a heart as big as his zoomies are fast! 🐾

Jerry may be a little baby, but he’s already a ball of energy, curiosity, and love. Whether he's chasing toys, getting his zoomies on, or curling up for a cuddle session, Jerry’s enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. His playful spirit and adventurous nature make every day an exciting one!

Though he's still working on his house training, Jerry is well on his way to becoming the best pup he can be. He's also an expert in cuddles, ready to snuggle up after a long play session. He gets along fabulously with both kids and other dogs, making him an excellent addition to a lively household.

🎉🐾 2025 Year in Review 🐾🎉

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the lives changed, the challenges met, and the love shared. While it wasn’t our busiest year on record, it was a steady one — and one we’re deeply proud of.
✨ 232 adoptions
✨ 232 lives saved
✨ 232 second chances

Each of those animals mattered. Each story was worth it.
And some will forever live in our hearts...

💖 Dottie came to us terrified, skeletal, and silently suffering with an undiagnosed hernia while nursing puppies. Her road was long, but her transformation? Incredible. Today, she’s thriving with her forever family, soaking up the good life with both two- and four-legged siblings. She reminds us of what love — and patience — can do.

🌈 Stella came to us as a hospice case, and her time was short. But thanks to her devoted foster, her final chapter was filled with sunlight, softness, and slow mornings. She left this world surrounded by love, dignity, and peace. We’re honored to have known her.

This year, we also worked behind the scenes —
