👋🏾Hey there!

🥁Allow me to properly introduce myself.

I am Aakre Mahan, proud owner & founder of Wags on Wheels Pet Taxi. 🚌🐶🐾

♥️At the age of 5, my dream was to care for animals. That was it! No plan B. My fur babies demonstrated unconditional love, needing nothing in return but my time and love. In my eyes, my fur babies exemplified pure love, and they have always been my safe place when people were not.

👩🏾‍⚕️This is why I pursued a career in veterinary medicine and a rescue business. I wanted to help what helped me. While studying animal science at Tuskegee University, I had undergone an experience that conflicted with my values, which forced me to change my career path.

📚I transitioned into education for 14 years, where I underwent a transformative journey of trust. Through my interactions with students, colleagues, & parents, I learned to trust, care, & love people.

♥️On this journey I rediscovered my passion for rescuing fur babies in a new way. The demand and need from friends, family, colleagues & neighbors for pet transportation services opened my eyes to a new way of fulfilling my purpose.

👁️God’s mission was to show me that in order to reveal and fulfill my vision of caring for His fur babies, I had to learn how to trust His people♥️.

⏳It was all in God’s timing. Even though I didn’t become a veterinarian , I reinvented how I rescued my furry friends. His plans are always bigger and better!🙌🏾
