If they've done right by you, do right by them. Although we'd like them to keep racing and hold up for as long as they can, sometimes it's just not possible. Waves has been in and out of the barn several times over multiple years, and has taught many little kids to jog. He's been an absolute pleasure to be around, and he's never had a groom who didn't love him. Waves' owners have decided to retire him with grace, which we admire. He will return to his original breeder in Alberta. We will miss the big guy, but we look forward to seeing him enjoy his retirement. Happy Retirement Make Some Waves!

Coming to terms with our loss and finding the right words to express our sentiments in this post has been a time-consuming process. On Monday, January 6, James Skowyra, the founding member of Skowyra Racing, passed away. Jim spent many years competing in the New England racing circuit, earning recognition for his skills. He dedicated a significant amount of time to training horses and later supported his son's stable, serving as one of its most devoted fans. Skowyra Racing's current success would not have been possible without Jim's enduring support. His passing has had a profound impact on the family. We will always remember his bright smile and warm wave.

Where are they now?

Believe this Bob is reportedly living the good life in Kentucky with all his siblings.

Adayonthebay “Andrew” is based in upstate New York, where he is a trail horse.

We miss them both tremendously, but we’re so happy that they got happy retirements !
