✨ Red Bridget’s Rojo (Rio) ✨
Due to no fault of his own, the owner does not have time to keep him.
Rio is a registered 12-year-old AQHA red roan gelding, standing approximately 18 hands.
He has a great 'in your pocket' disposition. Ideal for someone with moderate experience and confidence, as he can be very forward. Eager to learn, he excels on trail rides and enjoys working with cattle.
He was started in the Bull Mountains of Montana, so Rio is well-versed in large ranch operations, including working on a large feedlot, checking and sorting cattle, and checking fences. He has been used for light ranch work, including roping and sorting. He was frequently taken to the roping pen last summer; however, he prefers working cattle over standing in the box.
He is cautious in new environments but adapts quickly. He has never bucked, bolted, or reared. He loads well, stands great for the farrier, and handles routine care without issue. He was just trimmed at the beginning of the month and normally wears a size 3 when shod. No extra maintenance is needed, and he is up to date on everything.
