💜🐾 DOUBLE THE LOVE, DOUBLE THE HAPPY TAILS! MAMAS & GUS WERE ADOPTED — TOGETHER! 🐾💜

Y’ALL, THIS IS THE KIND OF HAPPY ENDING THAT MAKES IT ALL WORTH IT! 🥹🏡

Mamas and Gus didn’t just find their forever homes — THEY FOUND ONE TOGETHER! 🎉💜

Two of our Barking Lot babies are heading into their next chapter side by side, and we couldn’t be happier! There is something extra special about seeing two rescue dogs get to keep a familiar face beside them as they begin a whole new life with their family. 🐶🐾

🐾 MAMAS — Our sweet Husky/German Shepherd girl who almost always had a stuffed animal in her mouth is off to start her next chapter!

🐾 GUS — Our little guy is officially trading rescue life for the good life, and he gets to do it with Mamas right by his side!

These two are proof that sometimes the best happily ever after comes with a built-in best friend. 💜

To their new family, THANK YOU for opening your hearts and home to BOTH of these babies. Giving one rescue dog a second chance is amazing, but choosing to take two together is something truly special. You didn’t just change one life — you changed TWO lives and gave them the gift of staying together. 🥹💜

Every adoption reminds us why we keep going through the hard days, the long nights, the financial struggles, and all the sacrifices that come with rescue. This is what it’s all about: seeing our babies leave knowing they’re loved, wanted, and finally HOME.

Two dogs. One family. One forever home. A lifetime of love ahead. 🏡🐾

Please help us congratulate Mamas and Gus on their beautiful new beginning! 🎉💜

💔🐾 BACK ON THE ADOPTION LIST — THROUGH NO FAULT OF HIS OWN. 🐾💔

Sometimes, things don’t work out the way we hoped, and unfortunately, Balto is looking for a forever home once again. 💜

Let us be clear: Balto did absolutely nothing wrong. Sometimes circumstances change, and an adoption doesn’t work out. As heartbreaking as that can be, our priority is making sure every dog gets the chance to find the home that’s truly right for them.

Balto deserves a family that is committed to him for life — a family that sees him as more than a temporary addition, loves him through the adjustment period, and gives him the stability and security every dog deserves. 🏡🐾

We know returning to the adoption list isn’t the outcome anyone hopes for, but we refuse to give up on this boy. His happily ever after is still out there, and we’re determined to help him find it.

💜 Balto is available for adoption again, and we’re looking for the right match — not just any match.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry family member, please consider giving Balto a chance. And even if you can’t adopt, sharing this post could help it reach the person he’s been waiting for.

Let’s get this boy back on the path to his REAL forever home. 🐾💜

🥶🐾 URGENT: HELP US WINTERIZE THE BARKING LOT! 🐾💜

Y’all, the temperatures are dropping QUICKLY, and we need to get moving on winterizing our kennels before the freezing weather hits! ❄️

We have so many animals depending on us, and we need to make sure every single one has a warm, dry, protected place to stay when those West Texas temperatures start falling.

We need our community’s help NOW! Here’s what we need to get ready for winter:

🛠️ OUR WINTERIZATION WISH LIST:

🔥 10 livestock heat lamps

💡 At least 15 replacement heat bulbs

🌾 Straw and hay for kennel bedding

🛡️ 4 heavy-duty 10 × 20-foot tarps

🛡️ 6 heavy-duty 12 × 20-foot tarps

🪵 20 sheets of plywood to help insulate and protect our kennels from the wind and cold

♨️ 4 additional outdoor-rated heaters — we currently have two and need four more to help prepare our spaces for winter.

🔌 2 heavy-duty, 150-foot outdoor extension cords, suitable for the intended equipment and electrical setup.

Every single item brings us one step closer to getting our kennels winter-ready before the first freeze. We have enough dog food at the moment, so right now our focus is on securing these winter supplies before it’s too late.

💜 CAN YOU HELP US GET PREPARED?

You can donate toward supplies through either of our donation links:

🐾 VENMO:

🐾 CASH APP:

You can also purchase supplies directly, donate plywood, tarps, straw, or hay, or message us if you have supplies you can contribute.

🙏 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! Even if you can’t donate, sharing this with your friends, family, and local businesses could connect us with someone who can help.

These animals depend on us for everything. They can’t grab a blanket or turn up the heat when the temperatures drop. It’s our responsibility to prepare for them, and we need our community standing beside us to make it happen. 💜🐶

Let’s get these kennels winter-ready BEFORE the cold gets here!
