Due to the overwhelming messages we are receiving via social media, I have some answers!

Hello! Yes, we are open.
In fact, we are open year round.
And boy, have we been busy!
Such a wonderful summer.
We are a small family business, and we do things differently when it comes to booking. We stick to the old school way. It's more personal if you will. The phone is constantly ringing off the hook. The voicemail is full a lot. I understand. There is a person that listens to every single one of the voicemail and calls people back in the order they are received. Therefore, contacting via social media won't get you on the list to be called back. The person who manages this account has no access to the schedule book. I understand the frustration.
If you are trying to book a ride, call, if voicemail is full, wait and call later. If you do leave a message, only one is needed.
Reservations are required for a ride. Showing up at the ranch won't get you a ride. The wranglers will mostly tell you all this information once more.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you on the trail.

We got to welcome a brand new filly to the herd today. She is adorable and very friendly! We are so excited for our new addition.

Lisa is her mom and her dad is Monty. They made a beautiful filly that the jakes horses crew already adores.

Saddle Up for Camp Lightning Creek! 🐴

Join us for our overnight camps in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Campers will spend their days hiking and learning about wildlife, wildflowers, and water ecology, and they will spend their nights cooking meals together, hanging out by the fire, and sleeping in comfortable cabins.

Howdy, Yall!

We are OPEN YEAR ROUND. Yes, that's right. You heard us. Year round, we are open. One of our wranglers was so excited to let you all know she climbed onto the top of these hay bales to scream it to the world. We ride in the wintertime. Our horses are equipped with state of the art shoes that our amazing farrier Randyn Gregg puts on to allow them to walk in snow, ice, mud, rivers, dirt, pavement, gravel, grass and whatever else life has to throw at us.

September 17-18, there will be an opportunity to sign up and come to lighting creek ranch and spend 2 days in the woods at an amazing facility and ride some horses.
