Yesterday we collected some really nicely colored Pygmy seahorses and pipefish. One of the pipefish was in the process of releasing its babies.

We collected some very nice and colorful short spine urchins, pin cushion urchins and lettuce nudibranchs today. These guys will quickly gobble up some algae!

Known for their vibrant skin, the Caribbean Reef Octopus will quickly change from an iridescent blue-green, to smooth orange, to textured brown as they glide across their surroundings. This camouflage helps them both to hide from predators and hunt for meals. In an aquarium setting, Caribbean Reef Octopus will readily accept thawed whole shrimp, silversides, and other large, meaty offerings. They are very intelligent and must be kept in an aquarium home with a tight-fitting and secured lid. The maximum size of a Caribbean Reef Octopus is around 22” arm to arm. From birth, they reach full adult size in about 5 months. Ours range in size from 5”-10”.
