We received this update about 8 year old Scarlett who was surrendered to us and is now another happy Beverly resident:

“I got her a kitty can't cope sack with catnip from Maine, which she licks the burlap. I have been working with her and would never surrender her. She will never be a lap cat, but she does sit next to me and sleeps with me. I am learning her habits. If she rubs against my legs, it means she wants to eat. When I go out even for a second, she gets her lamb chop stuff animal and lays on the rug with it. I just could never part with her.”

We received this fun update about Laverne and Shirley. They found themselves homeless when their owner moved out of the boarding house. They are now happy residents of Beverly.

"They have settled right in and have taken over the house. We are really enjoying them. Feeding time is an event with much meowing until the dish is put down on the floor. They love to play with little stuffed mice. They chase them all over the place and meow loudly when they put one in their mouth. They have each taken various sleeping spots and don't feel they have to hide anymore.
Shirley lays on my lap at night when I'm watching TV. They both come to bed with me. Laverne will wait in the kitchen while B makes his coffee. Then she follows him into his computer room and lays down by his feet. Of course, he gives them a little treat in there."

How do we still have this fun five-month old lap kitten who loves to play. He would enjoy another fun cat or kitten to run around with or someone to sit with during the day. He will jump on your lap whenever you sit down. He is neutered, has a current rabies and distemper shot and is fiv/felv free. Benetar is looking for a new home. She is about 2 years old. She likes to play with toys and zooms around rooms. She is a happy girl. She can be petted and picked up by someone she loves. She always uses her litter box, is current on her shots and is spayed. She must be the only pet in the home. She is staying at her foster home in Lynn, MA. Hemingway is doing great! He follows around the house, sits down next to you.
He will make a great pet for someone!
He has lots and lots of toes.

We took in this handsome boy with golden eyes. He is afraid but will be ok after some time. He has messy fur with burrs and stuff in his tail which should be beautiful, and will be again.
