They were surrendered to the shelter by their owners. Together.
At 10 and 11 years old, Killa and Cali Girl had spent their entire lives side by side. Every meal. Every nap. Every good day. Every hard day. Together.
Our biggest fear wasn’t that they wouldn’t get adopted. It was that only one of them would. You see, little white fluffballs like Killa tend to get scooped up pretty quickly around here. And the thought of him leaving while Cali Girl stayed behind kept us up at night. Because Killa isn’t just her friend. He’s her everything.
She always knows where he is. Always checks for him. And he looks to her for reassurance. She’s his barometer. If Cali Girl is okay, then Killa is okay. And if Killa is okay, then the world feels right.
They eat together. Sleep together. Explore together. They have spent more than a decade building a life around one another.
After losing the only home they’ve ever known, losing each other too would have been unthinkable.
Not on our watch.
Today they are safe in foster care, waiting for their Forever Home.
Together.
And we need the world to know just how easy they are. How happy they are. How well-mannered, respectful, and grateful they are. They don’t need much. Just a soft place to land, a warm bed, and someone willing to love them through their golden years.
What we can promise is this:
Whoever opens their heart to Killa and Cali Girl won’t just be saving two senior dogs. They’ll be witnessing one of the purest love stories they’ve ever seen.
And that kind of love has a way of changing your life, too.
If you’re seeing this, help us show Killa and Cali Girl to the people who are meant to find them.
Leave a ❤️ in the comments if you believe best friends belong together.
It is your comments, shares and interactions that help push these two through the oppressive algorithm. And somewhere out there is the family that is supposed to see them.
Let’s help them find each other. The link to our adoption application is in our bio.
