Deity Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization based in Los Angeles. Dogs saved her so it’s only right that she save dogs.

We amplify the stories of shelter dogs, support life-saving spay and neuter programs, and help vulnerable animals find safety, visibility, and second chances. When bringing dogs into Deity we do not discriminate on age, breed or ease of placement. Rather, we choose dogs based on temperament and potential to be wonderful companions. We adhere to a comprehensive adoption process which includes finding the best possible match for each dog and performing home checks. Our mission is to educate and empower people of all ages as to how they can make a difference in the lives of animals in their communities. We target the importance of pet sterilization, animal welfare, and why it is a good idea to adopt from a shelter or rescue rather than buy from a breeder.

Ellen rescued Vida, the first official Deity dog, in 2007. Lindsay joined Ellen in her efforts when a major health scare made her reevaluate life and the gift of health and happiness. Dogs served a key roll in her recovery and she strives to share the healing power of dogs with others.

Fly free precious girl. There are not enough sorrys in the world. There are not enough we love yous. Humans failed you - even though we tried our hardest to save you.

I’m whispering this to you right now… your life mattered. And we will never, ever forget you. Twinkle your star for us sometimes. We will be looking. 🕊️💫🤍✨

Max is still fighting. He has developed a cough and is still be treated intravenously with fluids and meds. Please pray for him.

Parvo is the devil. She is fighting this deadly virus, but her little body is going through it. Not gonna lie, we are scared. The vet texted this just now, “Maxine had a fever of 103.6 at 6 a.m. and 103.7 at 7 a.m. They gave her another antibiotic, along with ice packs and a fan, hoping to bring her fever down. She is still low on energy and is being closely monitored”. She hasn’t eaten in days.

We are all holding our breath. Her family of volunteers from the West LA Shelters got her to a private outside vet as quickly as possible. Hoping it will be what saves her. That - and her will to live.

What Maxine needs is life support. Literally. The IV fluids, the antibiotics, the 24 hour care. This support to her system is the protocol needed for her body to continue to fight.

Please everyone, please send her a little wish. Tell her that we love her. That her life matters. That she needs to pull through because there’s a family out there just waiting to love her. She can’t leave. The good stuff is coming.✨

She’s been there, behind bars for 18 months. Let that sink in. Ronda has been walked by, passed over, left behind - for an entire year and a half. Her heart? Broken. Her soul? Shattered. Her anxiety in that kennel is palpable. It hurts so much to watch. Who could blame her?

The best news - a reputable rescue has stepped up for her. WoofHouse Pitbull Rescue located in Woodland Washington. Jimmy has offered to bring Ronda in as one of his personal pack and find her a home. She gets to live inside a home you guys!

Big Dog Energy has made it their mission to get Ronda free. In order to get her there they need gas money. Reaching out for anything to get her there.

So excited for Ronda’s Freedom Walk. Cannot wait until she gets there so we can watch her decompress in a bed - surrounded by love - until she finds her Forever people.
