It has been a really, really long time since I have posted on this page. So many things were happening in my life that I was very uncertain as to what I wanted to do with the horses and the horse business. What I have decided to do is to focus on teaching, a little training and have only a few boarded horses. The teaching encompasses horsemanship in the saddle and on the ground, grooming, conditioning, nutrition, horse behavior and communication. I have recently added Equine Facilitated Communication, working with groups and individuals. I will be offering clinics to small groups of people focusing on the horse human relationship along with saddle time. I have gone the distance in my mind from wanting to expand in to a big operation to giving up horses completely. Changes have had to be made, my perception and attitude adjusted. I have come to the[ for me ]harsh reality that I can no longer do things for free, or at a reduced rate to help out others as much as I would like to. It has driven me in to the ground. This was always my decision, so I certainly do not blame those people and horses I have tried to help.Business and love for people and horses is a hard mix. In fact, the reason I went to college was so I would never become a person that had to depend on an income from horses. Things change, and as circumstances changed [injuries from the nursing profession] and more people asked for me to become involved with their horses, I ended up going pro.I have decided to focus on teaching because after so many years of being a student of the horse, I might have a little bit to offer people.I appreciate so much those people in my life who have and are supporting me through this time. Although there are quite a few, I especially want to thank Lynn Bialk, Vicky Lynne, Vicki S, Maria Chahda, my son Samuel Hybicki, Emma Olson and Eric Droster, and the Knights of Columbus. There will be many more thank you comments along the way, believe me! So, here we go!
