Road Trip Rescues

This is HOWL-O-WEEN! 🖤🎃🐈‍⬛🍭🍫 And Salem has come correct in his black costume paying homage to the historic Halloween headquarters!

Only treats and fun tricks with this beautiful lab mix puppy who is, as a typical puppy, full of puppy energy! Salem loves to snuggle and sleep next to you after playing. He does not mind his crate, and sleeps in it for a solid 9 hours through the night with no accidents. Salem is housetrained and crate trained. He loves playing with his foster fur and human siblings and is being fostered with several dogs and children. Salem has not yet met cats but with proper introductions and consistent training, might do just fine with feline friends.

Salem is estimated to be around 3 months old and weighs just over 20 lbs. This fun-loving, playful boy may not have had the best start being found as a stray in a southern state ending up at an overcrowded shelter before being rescued by us but you would never know it. He is happy-go-lucky and ready to be scooped up into his forever family. He would love to be a cherished part of his forever family.

Salem is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, flea/tick/HW prevention and is microchipped!

At Road Trip Rescues, "nothin' but a hound dog" means EVERYTHING! We love our beagles, coonhounds, Plott hounds, and everything in between - give us a set of ears hanging low, and a nonstop nose, and life is GOOD! And we are all stocked up on these happy hounds here at RTR. 🐶

Celebrate the last few months of America's semiquincentennial (250th Birthday!) by adding to your family from a colonial-era breed group that attracted the likes of our founding fathers! 🇺🇸

Now that our wayward pup has safely returned home (thank you! 🙏) we can enjoy our favorite day of the week: SatAJAY!

And we can't explain it - but this dog IS fall 🍂🍁🍎 You see it too, right? Something about that rustic chestnut coat and amber-glow eyes makes us want all the Pumpkin Spice everything! You could say he puts the Autumn Joy All Year in AJAY! 🎃

Ajay is the cutest, leggy terrier mix with the best beard in town already at 4 months old (perfect for no shave November!) and weighing in at 13 lbs, mostly in his four stilts - we expect an adult size topping off around 35 lbs - or approximately 2-3 face pumpkins.

He loves to be held, and there's lots more wonderful traits to read about him in his bio in the comments!

The pumpkins weren't the only thing ripe for picking today at Tewksbury Harvest Fest! Despite a little drizzle, our festers came out in droves to shower love on our adoptable dogs - and every pup that was ready for a home found one! Thank you to Georgia, all the event volunteers, our team of fosters, and all of the visitors who came out to support us! We are so grateful for the neighborhood events like these that give our adoptable pups such valuable exposure to a loving community! ☔🐶🎃

Our adoptable pups got rained out of their events this weekend and it shows 💤💤 But it gave us an opportunity to spend some time with them indoors, and get to know their personalities for their online dating (a.k.a Petfinder) profiles!

Affinity for naps and rainy-day lounging: check, check, check!

It's Sat-dood-day! And Jack is here to remind you that ANY dog can end up in rescue. 🇨🇭

If a Bernadoodle has been on your wishlist, then here's your full-grown young adult, no-size-surprises boy!

Jack is approximately 2-3 years old and 50 pounds - and as he's valiantly working on his "down" commands, we recommend a home with no tiny tots! 👶🏼

Some other likes of Jack:

🏡 Fenced yard
🐶 Doggy pals
🚗 Car rides
🐕‍🦺 Handler-motivated!

Flying into the weekend like...🍸🍸🍸

Piglet is recovering beautifully from her ear surgery and while they certainly didn't make them any smaller, or straighter, this little girl will be so much more comfortable as she listens for the sound of her new family approaching 🧏🏼‍♀️

We could still use some Piglet Pennies to pay off her tab at Quakertown Veterinary Clinic - you can donate here, or via our website at www.roadtriprescues.com - or call the clinic to tell them you want to buy Road Trip Rescues some shots 💉💉💉🙃🙃🙃

Sharing is free and also incredibly helpful to get the word out for sweet Piglet!
