Blessed With Pets I'm Megan Daniel, a Louisiana based artist inspired by animals, Jesus, and nature. I hope my work can bring joy to others, as it does to me. Hello!

With over 10 years in the nonprofit animal rescue field, I have a passion for pets and education. My name is Megan. Blessed With Pets is more of a little side hobby for me. I stay extremely busy running our animal rescue. I enjoy crafting though and love being able to make people smile. I hope at some point you find an item on here that brings back a memory for you, makes a great gift for a friend

, or just an item that brings you joy. Either way you will be supporting our rescue at the same time which is awesome. Plus- I dont work because I'm busy volunteering to help animals. So it's just a way for me to bring in some side change per say while doing something I enjoy. Rockers Rescue- Northwest La is our page. We are 100% volunteer and help both dogs and kitties as able. Location is around Shreveport, Louisiana. We utilize loving foster homes to save animals in need. We get them healthy and get to know them so that we can find their perfect forever home. We function fully on kind donations from people when they are able. We do complete vetting, microchip our pets, and love them dearly. I love the colors in this one and the light shining across her dress. Created for the “Spirited” show.

Currently on display at the Highland Center Basement Art Gallery in Shreveport. Feel free to request a viewing. Hans Payan Geler is the curator. I have 2 pieces. If they do not find their home at this event they will likely move on to the “Spirited: Art of the Cocktail” show with Bossier Arts Council at the Boardwalk which will have display dates of September 18th to October 31st, with an opening reception on Sept 18th from 6-8pm.

"Pepper Me"

This is my second ever kinusaiga art. It’s a traditional Japanese art form that involves tucking colorful fabric into scored lines. This art is tucked into scored foam board that is nestled inside a deep black and gold frame.

For myself, "Pepper Me" takes me to an early morning calm. A peaceful moment, enjoying a sunrise while viewing beautiful growing peppers.

This piece will be available first at SBC Pepper Fest in Shreveport Aug 22, 2026. Then at Bossier Arts Council at the boardwalk.
