Hello and welcome to Mystic Skies Rattery ❤ I am a small scale breeder located in Bethany MO and have been breeding since late 2019. Closed May 2024
I am still here to answer questions and help how I can. I will always honor contracts and accept rats born here back if they need. I have loved my time as a breeder and maybe someday I will be able to open again. 🥰

When breeding I focus on health and temperament of my lines, also working towards longevity😊

At this time it looks like the majority of my rats have found wonderful places to go❤ I will of course keep everyone updated as I continue through the process of closing down the rattery. I am incredibly thankful for the connections and friendships I have made during my time in the rat community, and will continue to cherish those friendships as time goes on 😊.I will always be here to help however I can! I'm always happy to answer questions and direct people towards amazing breeders in the future😊 please note that all of my pet only contracts still stand, I will always welcome rats born at my battery back into my care and never would I ever think of turning them away❤.

Life is really thrown us for a loop,with a heavy heart i have chosen to close the rattery. It has been an absolute wonderful time being a breeder and being part of the wonderful rat Community. At this time I take a step back, with tears in my eyes it is a hard choice to make😭 but it is the right choice at this time. I will no longer be breeding, and i will be downsizing. I may have rats available for adoption in the near future. thank you everyone for being part of the Mystic Skies family❤

So far neither girl has started nesting Behavior, and no bumps 💔. I'll be monitoring them closely for the next week if still nothing I will be trying abbiejean again, but perhaps with Tolfdir, sometimes dwarfs have a hard time breeding, and Cyril is just so small I expect he wasn't able to get the job done😅

Both ladies started baby watch on Friday but as of yet we really don't have any noticeable baby bumps😥. Fingers crossed for small litters! I will keep everyone updated as things go on, I'm really hoping I don't have another baby strike on my hands as I did last spring🤣

Katya is due in about a week. I have not caught her in heat, but she has had no weight gain so far. Katya did display a few temperament traits since pairing I really don't like to see in my breeders, while she is incredibly sweet she is a bit mouthy😅. If she does have any pups they will be held at the rattery until 12 weeks of age to ensure temperament, none will be kept back as breeders. If she doesn't have a litter I will not retry her pairing and she will remain a pet here at the rattery❤
