It is with an incredibly heavy heart, that we announce Purrfect Pet Pal OKC, will be closing. 💔

This decision has been one of the hardest we’ve ever had to make. Purrfect Pet Pal wasn’t just our source of income... It was my pride and joy. It was built from love, late nights, early mornings, and a deep passion for caring for animals as if they were our own. This business brought me purpose, happiness, and a sense of fulfillment that is hard to put into words.

To our furry pals: You were never “just clients.” You were family. You filled our days with wagging tails, happy purrs, and countless moments that will stay with us forever. Saying goodbye to you is absolutely heartbreaking... and you will be missed more than you know. 😢

To our incredible pet parents: Thank you! Thank you for trusting us with the ones you love most. Thank you for your loyalty, kindness, and support over the last five years. The memories we’ve made, the bonds we’ve built, and the community you allowed us to be a part of will always mean the world to us. 🫶

We want to assure everyone that all previously booked services will still be honored. However, we will not be accepting any new bookings, and this closure affects all services. 🐾

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing Purrfect Pet Pal OKC to be a part of your lives. Though this chapter is coming to an end, the love, joy, and memories will stay with us furever. 🐾💔

The wind has the dogs weirded out today. 💨 It has been blowing enough to cause power surges, so they're not wrong. 🤷‍♀️ But they still have energy to spend, so we busted out the doggo puzzles! They help the dogs exercise their brains and sniffers! I usually recommend this be a solo activity. (Unless you know that the dogs in play do not have any food aggression and are comfortable.) After just 20 minutes, they were sure that they got every bite and found a place to rest. 🐶 A tired dog is a happy dog! 🐾💕

There are lots of places to get fun dog puzzles, but my favorite place to shop for them is Wags, Whiskers and Beyond LLC! (No, I don't get paid or sponsored to promote them.) They truly are just an excellent local resource for pet enrichments! She sells the tumbler puzzle in the bottom right picture! It's one of the favorites amongst the pack.

2026 has brought a few changes to our home; and our hearts. Penny’s grandmother is in need of a safe place to live with a caregiver, and we’ve opened our door to her. Family comes first, and that’s especially true in a family business.

What this means for us:

🏡 We’ll now be boarding one client at a time, so we can balance care for both our two-legged & four-legged family members.

🐾 All current bookings are safe and we are still booking! Just with very limited availability.

🛑 We’re not accepting new boarding clients at this time.

🚫 And NO! We’re not going out of business, just leaning into the family side of it for now.

Good news? 🎉
🚶‍♀️ House visits and dog walking services are completely unaffected and continuing as normal.

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your continued support as we navigate this new chapter. Your trust means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to have such a compassionate community behind us. 🥰

Grandma has a queen mattress, but that’s it for now. If anyone happens to know of a bed frame, dresser, or nightstand looking for a new home, we’d be incredibly thankful. Sometimes it really does take a village.

Tug of War is one of my favorite doggo games! 🐶
If you play only one game with your dog, I hope it is tug of war. For many reasons...

- Great bonding game! No matter if the game is between 2 dogs, a human and a dog, or multiple dogs and people. No matter who's playing, all parties are learning about each other, paying attention to each other, and bonding. 💕
- Full body strength building! We're talking jaw muscles, leg muscles, back muscles, neck muscles! 💪
- Keeps teeth clean! Using a cotton rope to play tug, helps act like a flosser for your dog's teeth! 🦷
- Healthy way to exercise physically and mentally! It's a game of strength, but also of strategy & witt! 🧠

This is Roscoe & Hunter! 🐾 This photo particularly makes me happy, because as a pup, Roscoe kind of annoyed Hunter... but, Hunter's also helped shape him into the wonderful pup that Roscoe is today. Now, they're great friends and work together on the playground! They play hard together, but also look after each other; like a true pack does! 🐾💕

Doesn't Athena just rock her new muzzle!? 😍

Before any assumptions are made: Our gracious host here doesn't any aggression issues. She's using this stylish piece as a tool to break her habit of scavenging for 💩. 🤮 Gross habit right? Well, sometimes dog parenting is gross. 🤷‍♀️ It's her way of sampling everyone's tasty food I suppose.

Athena here won't need the muzzle forever, but it's a helpful tool to help her break this nasty habit of hers. It'll also help her when we're in public, when she's at the groomers, or the vets office.

But more about muzzles... and their stereotype.
More often than not, a dog wearing a muzzle doesn't have an aggression issue. It doesn't mean they are a bad dog. It doesn't mean they aren't friendly. It means, they have a responsible pet owner and they are working on improving their dog's life in some area. So next time you see a muzzle, please don't fear that pup... be proud of them!

Muzzles should be paws-itively introduced to a dog, with lots of treats and praise! 💕 Athena has been slowing getting used to hers, but today; she happily put it on and wore it for 15 minutes! 🥳 She learned how to drink water and even play with one of her favorite toys with the muzzle. I'm so very proud of her! Can we all show her some love with a ❤️ and a comment! (Yes, I will really read all the comments to her, so please tell her how purrty she is! 😊)
