SAVE THE DATE 🐾 | April 2026

For years, my goal has been to build a nutrition counseling service that truly bridges two essential worlds: clinical veterinary insight and supportive, whole-food, holistic health principles. When these approaches work together, we can create nutrition programs that not only rely on proper veterinary care and diagnostics, but also support the body as an interconnected whole—rather than a series of separate systems.

This approach allows us to use clinical insight to better understand your pet’s health while also incorporating thoughtful, whole-food practices that help manage conditions, strengthen resilience, and support overall wellbeing.

But truly individualized care takes time—time spent reviewing records, assessing the full picture, and designing plans that are tailored to each pet. Because of that, personalized nutrition counseling will always remain the heart and foundation of our work.

At the same time, I’ve always wanted to make our knowledge more accessible. Over the years we’ve shared as many free resources as possible and expanded our guides for those who want trusted guidance without the full customization investment.

That’s why I’m so excited to introduce something new.

Our Members Site launches in April 2026.

This space will allow us to take a deeper dive into complex topics and real cases in a way that’s approachable and affordable for many more pet parents. Members will gain access to expanded education, case insights, and practical guidance—so more households can benefit from the same thoughtful approach to nutrition and whole-body health.

Customized nutrition support will always be our cornerstone, but this new community will allow us to broaden our reach and help even more pets thrive.

I can’t wait to share what we’ve been building with you ā¤ļø

Smoothie blend that’s safe to share with the whole family!

It’s been awhile since we have added to our smoothie series! Those of you that have been here for years might remember when we used to share the smoothie blends we made that were safe to share with our pup, Kyuss.

I struggle with circulation to my fingers and toes which is triggered by stress and cold. With the intense cold we have been dealing with this winter, this blend has been helping me manage it. It’s designed with eastern foo therapy principles in mind to encourage better circulation. This blend contains tons of antioxidants, warming ingredients and beneficial prebiotic fiber for the microbiome.

This recipe makes approximately one serving with just a little extra to add as a meal topper to your dog’s bowl. Great for pets with extremities that are cold to the touch, and who seek out warm areas to lay.

Our latest guide for dogs and cats received an outstanding review from an integrative veterinarian of .holistic.vet

I am truly honored to share Dr. Barrett’s review of our Complete Guide to Elimination Diets for Dogs and Cats. This project was a significant undertaking and took considerable time to bring to completion. It was important to me not only to share my 10 years of experience working with these cases, but also to incorporate the perspective of an integrative veterinarian to ensure the guide would be as thorough and helpful as possible.

When I asked Dr. Barrett if she would be willing to review the guide, she graciously agreed. Needless to say, her feedback was incredibly meaningful and deeply appreciated. While I was already proud of the final product, her glowing review—coming from a veterinarian I deeply admire—made this achievement even more special.

I’m excited to introduce a comprehensive DIY guide designed for pet parents who would value our expertise while taking a more hands-on approach at home. This resource offers a practical and affordable way to benefit from our clinical insights without the investment of individualized consulting.

It’s an ideal option for those looking to thoughtfully integrate both Western and holistic approaches to their pet’s health and nutrition. And for families who later decide they’d like more personalized guidance, we’re always here to provide one-on-one support tailored to their pet’s unique needs.

Taurine Supplementation is a hot topic in the Raw Feeding Community…

With limited research available on this subject, this is one I am continually reading different perspectives on and independent research consolidation. That being said, with 5 cats of my own, it’s not something I care to leave up to chance with the information we have available at this time.
Our cats eat a raw diet with added taurine supplementation, or I add taurine to their homemade diet regardless of the higher heart content. One of our cats eats a diet that helps manage her bladder health better that does not contain added taurine supplementation (I add it to the diet myself daily).

My feeding principles are deeply rooted in keeping things as close to what nature-intended, because I do believe the farther we get from nature the more health issues arise. Whole-prey is the natural diet of a cat and with the lack of processing, these diets contain more than sufficient taurine. However, many raw feeders use conventional feeding approaches that have gone through grind, thawing, etc and I would prefer to air on the side of caution and supplement some additional taurine to make up for the losses associated with these processes.

Save this post for your dog or cat with Bladder issues!

Urinary Crystals, UTIs, and Bladder stones are among the most common conditions we address through custom diets and wellness plans. Diet composition, water quality, hydration status, urine concentration, and stress all play clinically relevant roles in bladder health. Growing evidence supports a functional connection between neurologic stress responses and lower urinary tract function, particularly in cats, but also dogs. Urinary health should be approached as part of an integrated, whole-body system rather than in isolation. Systems within the body are interconnected and do not exist in compartments.

None of us are free until we are all free.

Look for organizations led by effected communities. What happened to Renee Good and Alex Pretti has been happening to POC in this country since its formation, if you are just now joining this fight - use your voice and any platform you have to uplift the voices of those most impacted and ask where your support and action will be the most beneficial. This fight may be new to you, but it is not new to them.

Is your pet experiencing any of these symptoms?

Food Sensitivities & Intolerances are extremely common among both dogs and cats these days. Many of them go unchecked for years due to their symptoms being less dramatic than those of allergies. Intolerances are also adaptive and these changes can often stall pet owners progress in identifying triggers.
