Jon went to rescue some fish from a bad situation this morning. Unfortunately, there were way more fish that needed help than we expected. But we instantly agreed to take them all knowing that our friends would step right up to help us. came right over to pick up two dozen of the bigger fish we can’t accommodate and they are recovering in their tanks in Oak Park as we speak. We have more than fifty fish at Lulu’s still, all of whom will need some TLC but will be ready for their new homes soon. Come meet them this week!

Today’s shop assistant Herman the pittie raided the chews, took out all the balls in the bin and scattered them in various hiding places and peed on the door. Normally that would get you fired, but he also greeted all the dog and human customers nicely and didn’t stick his head in any fish tanks, so we decided to let him stay on.

Our lovely and amazing friend and her talented videographer borrowed the store tonight to make a video for a song on her new album with . It wasn’t until they started filming that they realized our fish are AMAZING rappers, stealing all the thunder and becoming true stars of the video. Sadly, fish can’t hold pens in their fins so didn’t get a contract signed and worked for free. This time. They are practicing their penmanship as we speak.
