Did you know that cows like to rub their faces in the mud? Well, you do now.

There's been a lot of mud this year, and the cows may or may not be mad about it. It's hard to tell.

When you have to use the semi-truck side of the rest stop but it gives you an inferiority complex.

to a few weeks ago when Vivian turned 22, Zac threw her a birthday in the barn, and we forgot to post the pictures for you all to enjoy. The animals don't give us much free time. We take what we can get!

Yesterday, we celebrated the 1st birthday of our adorable half llama half alpaca 'Misti'. Born at the farm last year, we had trouble getting close to her because of she was being OVERLY protected by her llama mama 'Gianna' and her llama granny 'Callie'. She has blossomed into an absolute favorite at CedarPoint.

Our poor farm has been hit over and over and over with these monster summer storms in the past couple months.

This week, Ryan barely got a downed tree up from the storm the day before when another one rolled in. We take shelter in the basement with the scared dogs during tornado warnings, and we watch the cameras as the wind takes our shade sails down again, the rain washes out the driveway again, and we just hope the barn doesn't get struck by lightning.

Don't get me wrong. We love rain. It makes the grass grow. But at this point, it's growing faster than even our little fatties can eat it.

We're all pretty over it. Except for the ducks. They remain, as ever, unfazed.

This is it. This is the magic right here.

One of the trickiest parts of running our social media? Protecting everyone’s privacy. We have thousands of incredible candid moment photos sitting on our phones that we’ll never post. If we weren't able to get permission, it just doesn't feel right.

So when one of our drivers snapped these pics at a recent senior center visit, I had to share them. They managed to capture all of the fun with none of the faces.

Senior center events are some of our absolute favorites. The energy is totally different, the connections are immediate, and visits like this remind us exactly why we love what we do.

So what do you think is happening here to 'Scottie' our sweet highland steer? If you guessed that he is receiving chiropractic treatment you would be correct. At 9 years old, he is no 'spring chicken' and the vet recommended this for his arthritis. He seemed to enjoy it.

The necessary (and often cute) ways we keep our animals cool during the hot weather. In some cases, the animals do a good job of keeping themselves cool. Might have to take out a loan to pay for this summer's water bill though. Credit for many of these photos go to our farm and park staff who do such a good job a caring for these animals.
