Mountain lion killing two adult large dogs.

Some people buy Anatolian Shepherds assuming that the dogs will be able to do the job. However, if the dogs are mixed or not pure bread they will not be able to do the job, nor they will be able to protect themselves.

It's really hurts to see two loving dogs being killed by a mountain lion.

I personally don't think one of those dogs is a pure and Anatolian Shepherds. Therefore unfair for a mixed breed like that to stand against a mountain lion. These are not Turkish and Anatolian Shepherds that are purchased from working Ranch or a shepherd. I also believe the size is very small to be an Anatolian Shepherds.

In the USA, if the area is infested with mountain lions I think the smartest thing to do is to have at least two pure Anatolian Shepherds if not more. What I mean by pure is either the dog is AKC registered or the parents are both AKC registered.

I really feel sorry for the owner of the two dogs that got killed by the mountain lions. I do hope that in the future we will have the right dogs for the right job. I believe each purebred dog is developed for a particular job. I believe dogs are like tools, you need to have the right tool to do the right work/job.
