I just deleted my post that I did last week, because of some issues with it……
I just want to say if I’m training a horse and take a picture of it, that picture is going to look natural because I just got done working with that horse….I’m not going to do the ”wow advertising pictures” that people do for the horses they sell, (I’m not selling a horse because it’s not my job)…I’m posting pictures of horses I just got done working with. It’s your job to do the ”WOW” picture for when you want to sell that horse or not.
I hope you guys understand/get what I’m saying and thank you to the ones who have like/followed my page!!!!!

One of the strangest moments in training is the first time that you ask a c**t to step forward. Truthfully, neither you nor the horse really knows what’s going to happen next. If you have done good ground-work, there is a foundation to draw from but there are no guarantees.
Often, c**ts show their fear by seizing up and refusing to move. Getting those first, peaceful steps may not seem like much but it’s the foundation for everything to come.
I have often gotten stuck in place by fear in life. Perhaps you, too have experienced this. Though we may earnestly desire to please God, we have no idea where to go. So, we get stuck and sit still. Like a c**t, it’s hard for God to direct us when we refuse to move.
In Acts 16, Paul, Silas and Timothy desired to preach the Gospel in central Asia. It was nearby and only required a short trip to the Southwest. But they were “forbidden.” (v6) So, they decided to turn Northeast to preach the Gospel, but they were “not allowed.”(v7)
They had a heart to preach to the unreached people near at hand. Yet, God would not allow them. This must have been confusing at least, maybe even unsettling or fearful.
I confess that this is the moment where I would have gotten stuck in confusion and fear, and sulled up like a scared c**t. That’s not what Paul and Company did. God said don’t go to the left or right, so instead, they continued on straight to Troas. (v8)
Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” Though it may not make sense, the steps of the Godly who desire to obey are directed and delighted in by God.
After they reached Troas at the edge of the Aegean Sea, as far as they could walk, “…a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’” (vv8-9 excerpt)
This was a clear directive from God, but it called them to cross the Aegean Sea and travel 300+ miles away from central Asia where they desired to preach. Verse 10 tells us their response, “…immediately we sought to go to Macedonia…” (excerpt)
Through their obedience, while in Macedonia, “…a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira (in central Asia), who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized…” (v14-15a)
Let’s not miss what happened here. Paul and company were forbidden to preach in central Asia and called instead to travel across the Aegean Sea to Macedonia. There, Lydia and her family became the first converts from Central Asia. Only God could plan such a perfectly indirect route.
God knew that the best way to reach central Asia was by changing the hearts of Lydia and her family while they were 300 miles away. They were changed by the Gospel and thus churches were planted in central Asia, seven of which are spoken of in Revelation 1:11.
Though God didn’t take the direct approach, His work endured and surpassed the imaginations of Paul and company.
Step forward, allowing God to direct you. He has more in mind than you can ever ask or imagine.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

What’s the difference between a good rider and a trainer? A good rider makes a horse look easy to ride but a good trainer should actually make them easier to ride.
A good rider feels an issue and knows what they must do to hold the horse together. For instance, a dropped shoulder might require that they lift the inside rein and activate the inside leg to hold the horse in balance.
A trainer feels an issue and decides what the horse must do to correct themselves. That horse with a dropped shoulder might be struggling because his hips aren’t engaged. Thus, a trainer might choose to ignore the shoulder and work to improve hip engagement, causing the horse to lift his shoulder by “accident”. This “accidental” correction is key, as without knowing it, the horse teaches himself. Choice is the fork in the road between riding and training.
I’m thankful that our God is not a “good rider” but a “trainer,” setting up scenarios where we learn to choose Him.
In Deuteronomy, we see God setting choices before His people Israel. In this book, Moses had given reminders of God’s faithfulness, clarification of the Law, instructions and warnings, and some prophetic looks forward. After a prophetic look, telling Israel that she would indeed stray from God and become scattered and captive, Moses reassures them.
“Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you…and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice…that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again…” Deuteronomy 30:1-3 (excerpt)
God allowed His people to choose, even if they chose poorly. He also set up consequences that would lead them back to Him and the blessings that He desired for them. He was both allowing for their choice and training them in righteousness and the blessings that come from it.
God didn’t make the choice complicated, but kept it clear and simple, as a good trainer must.
“For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off…But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.” Deuteronomy 30:11, 14 We often worry about future obedience. Obedience doesn’t happen in the future, it happens in the next thought, word and action that we choose.
As a good trainer does, God rejoiced over and rewarded their obedience.
“And you will again obey the voice of the Lord…For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey…” 30:8-10 (excerpt)
We must train in our Father’s example and rejoice in and reward obedience. Consequences are necessary but learning happens from reward.
What are we going to choose today? Better said, who are we going to choose today? Thankfully, our God is the master trainer and redeems both good and bad choices. We see from this text that His desire is to reward and bless, but discipline will follow disobedience to bring us back to Him, our ultimate and true reward. Let’s choose life and blessing through obeying and pursuing God today.
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life…that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…” Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (excerpt)

(Sorry for the Wait on this video!)
I said this in the video, but just in case you didn’t see it…in this video I did not do voiceover because this video was just for me to figure out what Millie needs in her training, and what I could tell is she has a lot of trust issues/shyness and is very jumpy if there is a lot of things going on around her.
I’m happy she is with me so I can give her that love and confidence she needs!💝

P.S she is doing so well and is going to be a perfect kids pony when I’m done with her 💞.
