Asphalt can reach 150°F when the air is only 85°F. That's hot enough to cause burns in seconds.

Quick Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If you can't keep it there, neither can your dog.

Summer is officially here and so is the heat.

Pets can overheat quickly, especially flat-faced breeds, senior pets, and those with thick coats. Watch for:

- Heavy panting
- Excessive drooling
- Lethargy and/or weakness
- Vomiting

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool area and call us right away.

MEET WALTER!!

This handsome hunk of a dog is looking for his forever home. He has been a resident here at Bernville for the past few months.
Walter is a 2 ½ years old, French Bulldog Mix, neutered and vaccinated. He is a unique, bold personality. A mix of goofy, playful, mini couch hippo. The perfect example of play hard, sleep hard. Good with dogs & cats. Older, dog-saavy children only please. Walter has been doing very well with his training here. He will need someone that understands the strong bulldog personality, and can continue to dedicate time daily to his training. Walter may not be everyone’s cup of tea, so multiple meet-and-greets will be required to make sure you are good fit for this guy.
