Because we are not a daycare or kennel environment, all new clients must complete an intake form before booking. This allows us to determine whether our services are a safe and appropriate fit for your dog.

The intake form helps us understand your dog’s history, behavior, health, and daily routine. Honest answers are required. This is not for judgment, but for safety.

Some dogs thrive in our care. Others may be better served elsewhere, and we will always be upfront about that.

After submission, we review each form individually. If your dog appears to be a good fit, we’ll reach out to discuss next steps.

Our friends at Exotic Pet Birds, Inc. gave us an awesome shout out today on their radio show!

If you're looking for bird boarding, or even purchasing a pet bird, these are the guys to go to. Mike and I will make the drive out to the Rochester area just for them. Sedona has been so helpful with all of our birds, even the late Pico. These guys really are putting the health and wellness of their birds before everything!

Hiiii, I'm Megan.

I’ve spent over a decade working hands-on with dogs. I been involved with boarding, handling, showing, grooming, fostering, and managing dogs with a wide range of needs. High-energy dogs, rescue dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs that don’t do well in loud or chaotic environments.

I’ve also been boarding dogs for a long time, and it’s something I genuinely love. I like knowing owners don’t have to worry because their dogs aren’t in a kennel, they’re just part of the home.

Unfiltered Canine started because I wanted to expand that idea further. I wanted a way for dogs, even dogs with behavioral challenges, to safely get out, explore, and experience the world without being set up to fail.

This isn’t about perfection or buzzwords. This isn't about training.
It’s about structure, safety, and actually paying attention to the dog in front of you.

This page is about honest work and letting dogs be dogs. 🐾
