Wow! What a great turnout tonight with approximately 150-200 people in attendance. MFSC members came out in full force to support the “Save the Allegheny Mountain” meeting. Some of our club members, Tim Resh (Treasurer), Gerald Walker (President), and Randy Musser all spoke about opposing the cut. All were great speakers with valid points, however, Randy rocked it. His points and questions were all spot on! We are proud of you! Randy was prepared and ready for battle to save our mountain. Thank you to all of the members and everyone else in attendance tonight!!

This is happening at 6pm today. Let’s all show up and tell the turnpike commission “NO“ to the “GRAY CUT“

**********SAVE THE MOUNTAIN**********
This Thursday, September 26 from 6-8pm at Somerset Church of the Brethern, 606 Berlin Plank Rd. Somerset, Pa

There will be a meeting about the PA Turnpike Commission's desire to build an overpass/cut across the top of Allegeheny Mountain. This is a gigantic cut which will disrupt the connectivity of habitats and migration corridors, risk disrupting important aquifers and stream headwaters, create immense amounts of waste rock. Please attend!

Yes, it’s the last Tuesday of September already. Tonight’s meeting is at the pavilion at 6:30.

Reptiles, Archery, 22’s, Turkeys, Furs, Muzzleloader, Clays, Bluebird boxes, ATV Safety and a BEAR made for tons of fun and smiles yesterday.

BEAR?? Did you say BEAR? April and Andy rolled into our Youth Field Day with a bear. This young male weighed in at 173 lbs. Paul and April gave an educational presentation on processing bears. Thank you to our Game Commission Officers, we love seeing you.

Kids of all ages had an exceptional day. Our awesome VOLUNTEERS and SPONSORS are what makes the day possible for these kids, we can’t thank them enough for making a difference in a child’s day.

Thank you so very much to everyone who came out yesterday to spend their day with us on our beautiful mountain. We can’t wait to see you next year.

Just a reminder to all members, work parties will start Monday, July 22nd at 5pm. Anyone wanting to help or needing to get your required meetings/work parties in, now is the time to do it. Bring rakes, w**d eaters, and anything else you may need. Today, a few people came out to see what needed done, and we only saw one small snake. Thanks!
