Today has been extremely hard as we say goodbye to Zoom Room Berkley and the family we’ve created. Thank you to everyone from the absolute bottom of our hearts for all the support, laughs, cries, memories and everything in between. We will see you around ! - Erica and Alyssa 💙🧡🐾

Our final Dog of the Month goes to these two balls of sunshine, Atlas and Begonia🐶🌞❤️

Marianne and Roseanne both decided to get puppies after the loss of their soul dogs. Begonia and Atlas are from Crest Kennels in Oxford, MI and are the best puppies. Their grandparents had English labs growing up so being able to have their own is a dream come true.

Begonia and Atlas have been coming to Zoom Room since February of 2023. Both participate in Advanced Obedience and Agility. Atlas has also done some Tricks classes, while Begonia loves her playgroups. We have enjoyed getting to know both of them and their opposite personalities ! Marianna and Rosanne are always a joy to have in class, it is great to see the bonds they have with their dogs.

FUN FACT: Both feel their true identities are 8lbs dogs.

BEGONIA
Favorite Toy: Yellow Stuffed Duck or Kitchen Hand Towel
Favorite Treat: Crunchy O’s and whatever my humans are eating
Favorite Thing to do: Walkies, playing with my brother and neighborhood besties, coming to classes at zoom room
Favorite Activity at the Zoom Room: Advanced obedience, mainly for
all the treats!

Marianne says: "Begonia is always trying her best. She lights up any room she goes into with her big smile (and head). She is such a ray of sunshine."

ATLAS
Favorite Toy: Begonia, socks, his Hogwarts Express Ticket, and his tiny avocado
Favorite Treat: Shredded chicken
Favorite Thing to do: Atlas loves going to grandma’s house, playing with Begonia, agility at the Zoom Room, off leash hiking, and swimming with the kids up north
Favorite Activity at the Zoom Room: Agility, the tunnel specifically !

Roseanne says: "Atlas is the happiest guy around. One of his nicknames is Mr. Sunshine because he’s able to brighten any room. He has a lifelong love of socks, being sprayed in the face with the hose, and squeezing into places he doesn’t fit."

It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news with our beloved Zoom Room community. After much consideration, we regret to inform you that Zoom Room Berkley will be permanently closing its doors. Our last day of operation will be February 11. While we are navigating closing, please enjoy 25% off all retail purchases and if you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We understand this news may come as a surprise and appreciate your understanding during this transition.

Saying goodbye to such a wonderful community of dog lovers is truly heart-wrenching for us. We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout our time together.

We sincerely hope that you have enjoyed the services we provided at Zoom Room Berkley. It has been our privilege to assist you in training and nurturing the incredible bond between you and your furry friends. Your dedication to the well-being of your dogs has been truly inspiring.

As we bid farewell, we want to express our profound appreciation for the joy, laughter, and shared moments that have defined our time together. The community has been a beacon of positivity, and we are immensely grateful for the memories we have created together.

Though this chapter is coming to a close, we hope that the skills and knowledge you gained during your time with us will continue to enhance your relationship with your dogs.

Thank you once again for being a part of the Zoom Room Berkley family. Your presence has made our experience as trainers truly amazing, and we will cherish the memories we’ve created together.

January's Dog of the Month is dedicated to the goofiest goober Peanut 🥜🧡

Peanut was adopted from Bark Bark Wag Rescue in March 2023 when he was 3 months old. He is one of three puppies; his foster name was Navy, and his two siblings were named Chickpea and Pinto. They are a mix of border collie and beagle. When his foster mom brought him out, David & Claudia knew right away he was the puppy for them. He zoomed in circles around them and brought his favorite toys!

Peanut started coming to Zoom Room in April 2023 in puppy training plus, but wasn’t too sure about the playgroups at first. It took a few visits, but he was soon everyone’s favorite playmate in the group! He then earned his AKC Star Puppy, and now participates in Intermediate Obedience, Playgroups and Agility.

Favorite Toy: the squeaky lime wedge from the Frisco Hide & Seek Guacamole Dog Toy
Favorite Treat: Peanut butter
Favorite activity at the Zoom Room: Playgroup with friends and taking any opportunity to run up the A-frame!

Peanut’s owner, David & Claudia, had this to say:

Peanut is a very loud goofball! He loves to sniff and talk, and gives the best wigglebutts for his favorite people. When you scratch the perfect spot on his chest, both of his back legs go up in the air!

Peanut’s mom has hopes that he will pass the tests to become a therapy dog one day!

CHEERS to our December Dog of the Month Mazie ! 🔔🐾

What is an Amazing Shichon? It’s an energetic bundle of fur that is too adorable for words!! (Also known as a Shih-Tzu and Bichon Frise) To all who meet her, she’s known as Mazie (the Amazing!). Maize and Nancy began attending Zoom Room in January, when Mazie was only 4 months old, and over the past 11 months they’ve attended 60 group classes!! They’ve participated in Puppy Plus, Agility, Advanced Obedience, and even a few Private Training sessions to work on some extra stuff—–truly AMAZING! It's been a honor to be apart of her training journey, she has come so far. 🧡

Favorite Toy: “Las Vegas” Monkey and Pumpkin Bear
Favorite Treat: Honey Pizzles and Bully Rings
Favorite Thing to Do outside of Zoom Room: High Five and zoomies in her backyard

She’s the sweetest and cutest dog I know who loves all people and dogs. We were missing our last dog so much that we couldn’t resist getting Mazie to help us heal. She’s been keeping us entertained ever since!

Our Scent work filled up so quickly ! Don't worry though we came up with a solution.

We are now offering another 6 week Scent Workshop every Saturday starting January 27 at 4:10pm following the first one. If you've got a pup with a super sniffer, come join our Scent Workshop at Zoom Room Berkley! Tail-waggin' fun while learning scent games and tricks.

The prerequisites to be able to participate in this workshop is that they have to be 9+ months old and cleared for Agility/Tricks (gained the Focus, Manners, and Wait milestones.) If you aren't sure if your pup has these, feel free to give us a call.
