📢 FAQs 📢
We’ve put together answers to our most commonly asked questions to help keep things clear and running smoothly for everyone!
🐶 Spay/Neuter Clinic
❓ How do I get a spay/neuter appointment?
We are currently transitioning from a waitlist to a self-service scheduling system. While we finish working through our existing waitlist, we are not accepting new pets at this time.
Please follow our page for updates on when self-service scheduling opens. Once available, you’ll be able to visit our website, view open dates, schedule your appointment, and pay—all in one place.
📌 Our clinic is appointment-only. We do not offer walk-in services.
❓ How long is the wait for an appointment?
We’re unable to estimate wait times. Our clinic schedule varies month to month—we may have 2 clinics one month and 7 the next. Because of this, wait times can fluctuate significantly.
Due to high demand, we recommend placing your pet on multiple waitlists and exploring other low-cost options in surrounding areas.
❓ How old does my pet need to be?
• Cats: Minimum 8 weeks old and 2 pounds
• Dogs: Can be altered as early as 8 weeks, though recommendations may vary by breed
If you’re unsure, feel free to message us!
❓ What is the cost?
• Dogs: $80
• Cats: $55
Pricing does not change based on size or s*x.
Each surgery includes:
✔ Spay/neuter procedure
✔ Rabies vaccine (if over 12 weeks old)
✔ DHPP (dogs) or FVRCP (cats) vaccine
✔ Microchip
✔ Pain medication
📌 No additional charge for pets that are pregnant, in heat, or cryptorchid.
📌 Additional services may be available for an extra fee.
❓ How long will my pet stay?
All pets go home the same day.
• Drop-off is in the early morning
• We will call you when your pet is ready for pickup
We may give rough time estimates, but they are not guaranteed. Please be available the day of surgery. If you have scheduling conflicts, let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to work with you.
❓ Why should I spay/neuter my pet?
Beyond helping reduce pet overpopulation, spaying and neutering also:
✔ Provides important health benefits
✔ Can reduce certain behavioral issues
It’s one of the most impactful things you can do for your pet—and for the community.
🐾 Animal Rescue
❓ What kinds of animals do you accept?
We are Hope for ALL Pets—and we mean it! 💙
We accept:
• Cats & dogs
• Pocket pets
• Birds
• Reptiles
🚫 We do not accept farm animals or livestock.
❓ I found a stray—will you take it?
Usually, no.
For dogs, they must go through your local animal control first. This gives the legal owner a chance to reclaim them. State law requires a stray hold (5 days, or 7 days in Pulaski County).
For cats, we prefer the same process. However, exceptions may be made for situations like:
• Injuries
• Orphaned kittens
• Nursing moms & babies
These are handled case-by-case.
❓ Can I surrender my pet?
This is considered on a case-by-case basis, but we are often unable to accept surrenders—especially dogs.
Our limited dog space is typically reserved for at-risk animals from partner shelters. In many cases, that space is what saves a life.
For cats, we may have more flexibility, but during “kitten season” (spring through early fall), we are extremely overwhelmed. While we always try to help, it’s not always possible.
❓ Can I adopt through you?
We do not process adoptions directly.
As a small team, we focus on rescue and support efforts. We assist our local shelter with adoptions and transfer animals to trusted partner rescues who handle placement.
Responsible rescues must be able to take animals back at any time—and we currently don’t have the space or resources to do that properly.
❓ Can you help with my vet bills?
Unfortunately, most of the time we cannot. We are struggling to cover our own veterinary expenses, especially with a decrease in donations.
That said—please don’t hesitate to ask. If we’re able to help, we absolutely will. 💙
