What Is a Comfort Groom?

Meet Dooley, a 14-year-old Australian Shepherd.

As dogs get older, grooming priorities can change. What once worked years ago may no longer be the best option for their comfort, energy level, or tolerance for standing and brushing.

Looking at Dooley’s before photo, Caroline made the thoughtful decision to transition him to a comfort groom moving forward.

A comfort groom focuses on what matters most for senior pets:

✔️ Keeping them clean
✔️ Removing excess coat and matting
✔️ Shortening grooming time when possible
✔️ Reducing physical stress
✔️ Helping them feel better day to day

Sometimes the kindest groom isn’t about maintaining a certain look—it’s about doing what’s best for the dog in this season of life.

✔️ Tuesday–Saturday schedule
✔️ Hourly pay + tips
✔️ Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

We’re looking for someone who loves animals, works well with a team, and can keep up in a busy grooming environment 💙

Dog handling experience is preferred, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn matter most!
