Update: Murphy has gone to a great home with lots of kiddos to play with and even more snuggles. Thank you to everyone who reached out! This boxer community is the best. 💜🐶
Meet Murphy.
The backstory: He is not one of our previous babies. We had a family reach out to us about rehoming him. The dad was becoming allergic with breathing issues. Both mom and dad’s work schedules had lengthened to the point Murphy was having accidents from being kenneled for so long. They felt it best to rehome as their time to devote to him had shortened. After speaking to them longer, I learned they were not his original owners. He took in Murphy after his cousin had a few life changes. Murphy had lived with small kids and another boxer, but he wasn’t sure about if he’d been around cats or anything like that. Cool cool, Murphy came to us right before Christmas.
About Murphy: He’s 1.5 years old, born sometime in July 2024. He is from an AKC litter. However, the original owners were unable to locate that paperwork. He’s a big boy. He kennels like a dream, sleeps in it at night, and doesn’t chew up the bed/blanket. He has an amazing recall, I can let him out to potty and he does his business without a leash and without wandering off. He has been the most calm and patient dog with our kids aged 4 and 2, and lemme tell ya that second born is a trip some days 😅 He is protective of his kids…no chasing them around or he’s on you barking and telling you it’s time to stop that. He’s had 1 single accident in my house and it was my fault. He’s very food motivated. He gets along with Momma Nyx, our other boxer who is THE BOSS. He is calm, but still a puppy who likes to play. He has a giant white “C” on his chest. UTD on all vaccines, neg worms, neg heartworms. Our vet and staff were complimenting his good manners the whole visit.
More info: I feel selfish keeping this amazing boy to myself. I know there is someone who lost their baby recently, a little princess looking for a royal canine to wear a crown with, or a boy who needs a cuddle buddy at night after playing catch all day. Meet and greet required. Will also require neutering at 2 years old. Message us on our page or send a text to 618-663-2489 for more information. 💜🐶
