We are already seeing heat strokes in dogs in our clinic. Please be aware of the signs and symptoms of a heat stroke. ‼️

SYMPTOMS OF HEATSTROKE

Dark or bright red tongue and gums
Heavy panting
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Wobbly gait
Seizures
And in severe cases, coma and death.

PREVENTION OF HEATSTROKE
Pets should never be left in cars on hot days for any amount of time. For outdoor pets, access to clean water and shade at all times are essential.
Keep your pet’s coat short in Summer.
Exercise during the cooler parts of the day.

Just a few of the pets Dr Wilcox was able to help this week while he was in town. We love him and his dedication to providing orthopedic surgeries. 🐰🐶🐱 He isn't always in Arkansas (only when visiting his family) but he does practice at a clinic in Texas all the time. Welcome Our New Doctor to the Vetco Total Care family!
We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Kelsie Campbell-Barnett to our veterinary clinic!
Dr. Campbell- Barnett grew up in California and moved to Arkansas in 2020 after graduating from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband have a full house with four dogs and two cats. She has a true passion for caring for animals.
We’re also happy to share that Dr. Campbell-Barnett will now be available for appointments on Sundays — a brand-new option for our clients! 🐶🐱
