Easter Creek Farms, LLC

Easter Creek Farms, LLC Family life | Farm life | Realtor life We collect and occasionally sell eggs and enjoy growing and preserving much of our own produce.

Easter Creek Farms, LLC began with a little girl's love for horses and the outdoors long before the real estate was purchased. Born in New York City, proprietor Sage Easter began her riding career in the 4H as a young child as soon as she moved to the foothills of NC in the early 80's. She has placed Top Ten at the National and World Championship levels of breed competition in In-Hand, Under Saddl

e, and Driving classes. When she gave up her amateur status, she dedicated her time to teaching beginners the importance of safety and horsemanship skills at their quaint NW Louisiana farm through private lessons, riding camps, and community ed classes through the local community college. In addition to horse-specific endeavors, Sage has also taught community classes in the kitchen at their farm on goat-milk soap making and creative journal making. The riding programs at ECF are no longer active, but we still maintain some of our retired horses, a rescue donkey, a handful of goats, and a bigger handful of chickens. Blueberry pepper jelly and elderberry syrup are two of the most requested items coming out of our farm kitchen. Sage has been a licensed Realtor since early 2007 and enjoys creatively connecting her two businesses with an entrepreneurial spirit. Easter Creek Farms, LLC owns and manages several carefully curated North Bossier rental properties, and maintains ethical landlord practices. In an exciting fusion she refers to as Family Life~Farm Life~Realtor Life, Sage enjoys living out her mantra of "Pursuing Home" in everything she does. Helping others appreciate and steward the blessing of their own home continues to drive her in all her work. Stay tuned for new opportunities to join her in her passion.

Before the legend, there was a whisper…
It was a foggy morning in March 1970 in Virginia when Secretariat was born. The groom who helped deliver him later said, “He stood faster than any foal I’d ever seen. And when he took his first few steps, the fog seemed to rise around him like he owned the whole world already.”
Meadow Stable was no stranger to good horses, but this colt—by Bold Ruler out of Somethingroyal—had a presence. He wasn’t wild. He was curious. Every worker on the farm noticed it. He’d nuzzle you, nudge open latches, look you straight in the eye.
One morning, he slipped out of his stall and trotted out into the pasture alone. When they found him standing proudly on the hill, surveying the land, the old farmhand Jesse leaned against the fence and whispered,
That’s not a horse. That’s a king come early.
No one knew yet that this foal would grow to be the greatest racehorse of the 20th century. But the mist that morning did

In 1930, the Mars family faced the heartbreaking loss of their beloved racehorse, Snickers. Just weeks later, they introduced a new candy bar named in his honor - creating what would become one of the world's most popular chocolate treats.
The Mars family's deep connection to horses went beyond just business - Snickers was a cherished family pet, and his memory lives on in every chocolate bar that bears his name. Today, Snickers remains one of the best-selling candy bars globally, a sweet tribute to a special horse who captured the hearts of the Mars family.
