Bernedoodle Babies – This Week they’re 6 weeks🐾

Time is flying, and we can hardly believe our sweet Bernedoodle babies are already almost 6 weeks old! This week has been full of new experiences, growth, and lots of personality shining through.

✨ Development & Play:
The puppies are officially in their playful puppy stage! They’re exploring more, interacting with each other, and showing off their unique personalities. We’re seeing who’s outgoing, who’s a little observer, and who LOVES a good snuggle.

🍽️ Feeding Time:
We’ve fully transitioned to softened kibble, and everyone is eating like champs. Their little tummies are happy, and they’re steadily gaining weight right on schedule.

🏡 Crate & Litter Training:
We’ve started introducing crate time during the day, and the puppies are adjusting beautifully. It’s all part of our early training program to help with smoother transitions into their forever homes. They’re also continuing to use their potty tray area consistently—smart little pups!

🧼 Grooming Prep:
This week included more brushing and gentle handling—feet, ears, and faces—to help prepare them for future grooming. They’re getting used to the routine and learning that grooming time = bonding time.

💗 Socialization:
The puppies have met new people, explored different textures and sounds, and had play sessions in new areas of the house. All of this helps build confidence and adaptability.

Next week is a big one—vet visits, temperament evaluations, close door crate training and preparing for go-home time! We’re soaking up every last bit of these final weeks with them and can’t wait to unite them with their forever families.

Behind the Scenes of a Breeding Program ❤️

This week has been one of those that reminds us just how many emotions come with what we do. We’ve had the joy of sending puppies home to incredible families — and the chaos that comes with it! But we’ve also faced some tough decisions.

We retired dogs from our program whose temperaments weren’t the perfect fit, because we believe in doing what’s right, not what’s easy. And perhaps the hardest of all — we rehomed a dog we thought would be part of our family forever.

This business isn’t always sunshine and puppy breath. There are hard days and heartbreaks, second guesses and sacrifices. But there are also moments of pure joy, love, and connection.

We’re committed to raising incredible dogs and doing right by every animal in our care. Thank you to our community for supporting us through every high and low. Bare with us as we balance all the emotions the last couple weeks has brought us. ❤️

UPDATE: Dolly has a retirement home! We’re super excited for and her new family!!

Dolly one of our beloved mamas has officially completed her time in our breeding program and is now ready to find her perfect retirement home 🏡💕

She has been an incredible mother and companion, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled and loved as someone’s full-time best friend. She’s fully grown, well-mannered, and has that calm, sweet temperament we all adore.

PSA: If you’re purchasing a mini this is for you.
Do not buy the wire play pens. We’ve tried and they are a death trap. They will try to climb out and get their little legs caught. There are alternatives and I’ll share some links in the comments!

🐾 Program Update – Penelope & Daisy 🐾

As our breeding program continues to grow, we’ve recently made the decision to shift directions with a renewed focus on the future of our lines. With this change, we’ve thoughtfully chosen to release two of our wonderful girls, Penelope Featherington and Daisy.

We’re happy to share that both girls have been permanently released to their amazing guardians where they’ll continue to be spoiled with love, attention, and all the belly rubs they could ever want! 💛

While it’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye, we know this was the right next chapter for them—and we’re so grateful to the families who have welcomed them with open arms.

Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to grow and focus on what’s best for our dogs and future puppies! 🐶✨
