I never know what to expect when my mom takes a day off from work. I hate to tell her, but the hat didn’t really fit. I couldn’t even see the treat she was bribing me with.

I was asked to participate in a program at the library, but my mom didn't think I was ready. So, she asked if I could just visit and check the place out. I even got to attend a historical society meeting. I feel smarter already!

My family at the Thompson-Marodi funeral home will be observing National Pet Memorial Day on Sunday, Sept. 8 with an on-line tribute.
