This weekend we did welcome a new little family member! Ever since we visited our good friends at C&B Furry Friends Farm and they introduced my boys to their little farm kitten Stumpy, the boys have been OBSESSED with cats/kittens. We have our grouchy old lady Gemini that is tolerant of the boys, but at her age she’s slowing down quite a bit and doesn’t play anymore. So when Brie’s adopting family asked if we’d be interested in helping with some outdoor kittens being picked off at someone’s farm/house and I saw this little guy I couldn’t say no 🥹🥰
Welcome to the family Chief! ❤️ (bless my husbands heart for letting me love ALL the animals and for always going along with my crazy ideas, to sweeten him up to the new kitty we named him after his NFL team 🤣)

Ever have a litter and instantly think “oh no, I’m in trouble”?😅 I’ve been begging Remi and Trigger to give me some nice heavy VM harli babies every litter they’ve had. The closest we got was one little doe (who was bonded to her special needs sister and ultimately went to a pet home with her) and some heavy marked torts. Looks like Remi was saving them all for her final litter 🥺🥰
I knew going into this litter I was going to retain a kit regardless as it’s Remi’s last litter and Trigger is getting up there in age on top of the fact I’ve never retained one of their babies, but now I’m struggling to convince myself to only keep one 😅

Any worries I had about Rhiannon this week are loooooooong gone. Look at this rockstar mama absolutely killing it feeding her and her adopted kiddos 🥹
Behavior wise she is (mostly) back to her normal self, only giving me a little attitude when her food is late, but she’s back to giving kisses and begging for attention when her belly is full ❤️ so so blessed this is the outcome of gambling on a first timer 🥰

At the risk of making myself sound like an as***le, I’m going to be making some changes to my $ale policy. I will be working on a physical format of all my policies that will be pinned to the top of the page.
I feel like I’ve been far too lenient on my deposit and holding policy. Moving forward unless a 50% deposit is placed, I will no longer be holding a rabbit (with the exception of those I’ve worked with in the past who pay cash). On top of that, local pickup must be done within a week of the rabbit being ready to go or I will start charging a holding fee. I’m running into too many instances of no deposits being placed then holding those rabbits for an extended amount of time only for the person to back out. I’ve tried being nice and working with people as best I can but at this point I feel like I’m just being taken advantage of.
Exceptions to this would be waiting on transport or a kit being too young to leave my care (at my discretion) which is typically between 8-12 weeks of age.
I’ve had such a pleasure working so closely with so many wonderful families and breeders but I rely on animals being picked up in a timely manner for my own grow outs. My cage space is extremely limited with us being fully indoors.

Thank you for understanding everyone, I truly love working with these animals and meeting and talking to everyone in the rabbit community but I have a life and family outside of this hobby as well ❤️

Seen a lot of other people posting their “other” animals so here’s two of our more exotic pets ❤️

Rex is our dinosaur bichir, he’s easily quadrupled in size since we brought him home and has terrorized the fish tank since day one 😅

Next is Cheeto, our western hognose snake!🐍 the boys and I absolutely love him but my husband isn’t convinced, he HATES snakes 🤣 and before anyone asks, no he doesn’t eat the rabbits (DOA babies or otherwise), he’s far too little to eat anything that size.

We also have the button quail but I tend to leave them be with how flighty they are, they can get their own post later on 🤣

Just a reminder what those “ugly” brood does can produce for your program ❤️
MBZ Aster and MBZ Thistle have been the backbone of the chocolate magpie project and you’d never know it looking at them. I didn’t even know Aster was a chocolate carrier until she had Loki, and Loki moved on to be our main herd sire. Pairing him with Thistle is what created Benedict. These girls have made the biggest impact on our herd and most people would turn their nose up at them, but they’ll always have a special spot in my heart ❤️
