After his family had just endured the stress of evacuating due to a wildfire, Max became very sick and developed a hard, swollen belly. He was rushed to VRCCO where X-rays confirmed a life-threatening condition where his stomach filled with gas and twisted (GDV).

Our team quickly relieved the gas pressure, and rushed him into surgery to untwist and put his stomach back in place. Max made a smooth recovery overnight and was able to go home the very next day.

When 'Girl Dog' swallowed several clothing items, it quickly turned into a life-threatening intestinal blockage. She was rushed to the emergency team at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon, where diagnostics confirmed an intestinal obstruction that required emergency abdominal surgery to save her life.

Facing unexpected financial barriers, her family was unsure how they would cover the critical care. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, PetsForward was able to step in and help fund her life-saving operation. Today she is completely healed and feeling much better.

After being hit by a car, 8-month-old Burley's family sought care right away. What made Burley's case especially serious was that he was dealing with two critical issues at once: a pelvic fracture and a serious intestinal blockage.

With support from PetsForward, Burley was able to get the care he so urgently needed. He underwent emergency abdominal surgery at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon to remove the blockage, and his pelvic fractures are being managed with conservative care. He is on his way to recovery and continuing to grow into a beautiful, healthy dog.

When Bob's family noticed he hadn't urinated in over a day, had vomited, and seemed uncomfortable, they knew something was wrong. They rushed him to their family vet, who recognized the severity of the situation and referred Bob to the specialized team at , where he was diagnosed with a serious urinary blockage. Without treatment, the situation could have become life-threatening quickly.

Thanks to PetsForward, Bob was able to receive the urinary surgery he needed. After surgery, the blockage was cleared, and Bob made a full recovery. He is healthy, happy, and back to being himself at home.

Niseko, a 5-year-old Shiba Inu, had already shown just how tough she was after recovering from a previous knee surgery. But when her right knee began giving her trouble, it was clear she needed help once more.
