Looking good this weekend

The weekend is shaping up to be a good one for our vendors and shopping, with only a 24% chance of rain, overcast skies on Saturday and Sunday, and pleasant temperatures. We hope to see everyone this weekend!

New intersection in front of the Anderson Jockey Lot

🚦 The new signalized intersection at Hwy 29 N and Bowlan Rd in front of the Anderson Jockey Lot is now open, along with the roundabout linking Old Williamston Rd, Bowlan Rd, and Hwy 29 N. Please use caution as drivers adjust to the changes.

This is definitely a bittersweet moment in our lives. Lots of prayers have brought us here, and we know that it is what we are supposed to do, but it doesn't make it easy. Please help us share this post to help get the word out.

We will remain open until we sell, and hope that all of our friends and family will come out to see us, and help this transition to go as smoothly as possible.

SCDOT recently made traffic pattern changes in our area. See the sketch below for a quick breakdown:

🔴 Roads that have been closed
🟢 New traffic patterns now in effect

Multiple entrances to the Anderson Jockey Lot have also been combined into one main entrance near the new Highway 29 North intersection with Old Williamston Rd / Bowlan Rd. Please use extra caution in the area and watch for unfamiliar drivers adjusting to the changes.

The new Highway 29 North intersection will not fully open until the traffic signal is installed. That is currently expected by mid-July. Until then, additional adjustments to the traffic patterns may occur by SCDOT and contractors.

Thank you for your patience as traffic improvements continue in our area.

Some new, upcoming events!

At the request of the state of South Carolina, homeowners and renters affected by Hurricane Helene in South Carolina now have until Jan. 28, 2025, to apply for assistance with FEMA.

With the extended deadline, FEMA still strongly urges survivors to apply as soon as possible. After the deadline of Jan. 28, you may still submit documents, update your contact information and stay in contact with FEMA regarding your application, but you must apply before the deadline.

FEMA assistance may include funds for temporary housing while you are unable to live in your home, such as rental assistance or reimbursement for hotel costs; funds to support the repair or replacement of your primary home, including privately-owned access routes, such as driveways, roads, or bridges; and funds for disaster-caused expenses, such as repair or replacement of personal property and vehicles, funds for moving and storage, medical, dental, child care and other miscellaneous items.

Also, farmers, farm employees, self-employed individuals and foresters may be eligible for assistance to replace disaster-damaged tools and equipment not covered by insurance when they can show these items are required by their employer.

How To Apply for FEMA Assistance
Homeowners and renters in Abbeville, Aiken, Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Cherokee, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Greenville, Greenwood, Hampton, Jasper, Kershaw, Laurens, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Union and York counties and the Catawba Indian Nation who were affected by Hurricane Helene are eligible to apply for FEMA assistance.

The quickest way to apply is to go online to DisasterAssistance.gov. You can also apply using the FEMA App for mobile devices or by calling toll-free 800-621-3362.
