The Eddy Family Animals - and Friends The photos of our pets and outdoor visitors are intended to bring a little cheerfulness and/or levity to your day. All of our pets have come from shelters.

All of our indoor furry family members are from rescue facilities. Rather than posting a bunch of pet photos on my regular page that might not appeal to everyone, I thought I would consolidate them on their own page. Some were abandoned...one (Mina) was horribly abused before being found by Animal Control. They are a wonderful example of overcoming a difficult start, and what fantastic pets come from shelters. We like to think of them as Rescue Animal Ambassadors.

Julius had his first visit to his "stylist" today. He did very well...no hissing, spitting, or blood shed. He did, however, ask many questions and made a short speech.

Down Town Hound did a great job in removing the many matts without resorting to shaving him. And they clipped his nails. He drew the line at moisturizing his (very dry) pads, though. Apparently Julius is not a spa guy.

I'm so glad we found people to help us give him the very best care. He deserves it.

In this very cold weather, the animals are out in the daytime looking for food. Raccoons, 'possums, deer, turkeys...they're all just trying to survive the bitter temperatures.

These two were a few houses down from me today. They had 8 of their friends with them...and a gang of around 25 turkeys. Quite the party.
