Introducing camp horse number 10.

Meet Austin. Austin is a 19 year old beautiful thick made sorrel gelding. This horse belongs to my 15 year old kiddo Mason. Austin came from Steoud Oklahoma kill pen 2 years ago.he was thin scared and Blind in his left eye. It took us awhile before he trusted us but wow the change in him is remarkable. Mason liked Austin from day 1 and don't let that blind eye shy u away. I don't effect him one bit. This horse has never taken a wrong step not even when he was scared to death. I'm gonna share a picture of Austin when we first got him this hkrese will never again be scared or hungry. He is family . AUSTIN SAYS I CANT WAIT TO SEE YA'ALL AGAIN AT CAMP THIS YEAR!

ANNIE....

OH what a day. Today was Annie recheck appointment, also it was an appointment that would tell me whether or not I made the right decision on moving forward with Annie... going against vet recommendations and going with my gut. Going again all odds! And second guessing my decision alot ! Miss Annie was givin a 10 percent chance of making it well my gut was right! Annie has had DRASTIC IMPROVEMENTS. .. don't get me wrong i know her xeays are still ugly...I know they are not anywhere where they need to be but here the deal.. Laminetic horses rarely grow evenly , always grow more heal than toe. Making it nearly impossible for them to recover. but not my Annie! She had ALOT of growth...and EVEN growth. So basically , in order for Annie to heal , she has to grow new . When a horse is laminetk. It is very hard for the growth to come in lots of factors come into play like blood flow in all kinds of stuff , but annie wasn't given a very good chance because she had all odds against her her vina grams showed little to no blood flow to her hoof before we put on the clogs. I THINK I'VE HAD A SMILE ON MY FACE SINCE I LEFT THE CLINIC.I CANNOT THANK WEBER SHOEING AND NEBRASKA EQUINE ENOUGH. This does not mean any is out of the woods. This means we have to keep the exact same angles and keep doing what we've been doing to keep the same growth happening. Lots of work goes into any everyday keeping her comfortable in keeping her stall dry and deeply bedded. However , this horse means a lot to me and for the first time I heard someone say to me you made the right choice! The only other person that said that to me was my mom and that's because she always supports me a hundred percent , thanks , Mom! So we will take at one appointment at a time eight weeks at a time , but for now , I am extremely happy.

Introducing camp horse number 8

Meet Miss Mattie! Mattie is a beautiful 15.3 hand 17 yo paint. I purchased this girl from Lincoln Ne where she was a barrel horse . When we first purchased Maddie, we were not sure she was going to work out.She was very high spirited , and it took her a while to step down from barrel racing into trail riding. . I have no doubt that she was loved in her previous home as it was hard for them to let go of her. When she came to us , we had several people fall in love with miss maddie. But no one more than my dear freind Marry. The two of them had a connection and still do , therefore mary co owns miss matty with me. Miss Mattie can be found in the pastures most often with her ears pimed ( seemingly , for no reason , most of the time) just the way she is. But when it comes to kids there is no question this mare puts her heart and soul into them. She has givin lessons to kids from 5 years old to 16 years old. Mattie says " SEE 👀 ya'all at camp kiddos and don't forget the carrots "

Introducing camp horse #7 those of you who know...know

Meet Casper! Casper is a 14 year old STUNNING Grey gelding that stands a WHOPPING 16.1 hands tall Casper was a ranch tourist in the big open ranch country of Montana. This guy is a looker for sure! Turning heads at almost every place we go! Casper is used to do cattle drives, Brandings with my Fiancé also kids camp and trailrides. This Horse is not for everyone though. 🙄 Casper seems to pick his people. I would say , casper is for the confident kid who knows a little bit about riding . This , horse is built like a machine. And that's how he can ride at times . He is big and stocky. I don't think there's a person who has rode casper that has not just fell in love with him. There's something about him that draws you in. He has never takin wrong step for anybody that has rode him. Casper was purchased 11-10-23 so only being with us for a few years, we sure have fallen in love with him.He requires that confident rider but will Always take care of his rider. CASPER SAYS SEE YA'ALL ON THE DUSTY TRAILS!
