ISO- looking for 2 non gaited horses for friends. Both horses should have more whoa than go.
Non marish mares and polite geldings may apply. Color doesn’t matter but would prefer to find something a little more quarter horse like and quiet, quiet, quiet.
Both these horses will be forever horses so show me your special guys. Happy to sign a buy back or first right of refusal contract and willing to do a care contract or purchase outright. PPE (including drug testing) will be done.
Child’s horse- in search of a unicorn for a 10 year old girl. Child takes lessons and there will be a trainer to help. No buck, bite or bolt.
Horse must be saintly. Older is fine. Some maintenance is ok. this horse should be able to…
…Be brushed and tacked by the child. A parent will always be there to help. Able to be ridden in an indoor and out door ring at a walk, trot, canter. Able to be ridden on a trail or bridle path with or with out friends. This does not mean the child will be riding by herself but the horse must be sane enough to ride off in its own. This horse will be maintained at a full service barn and will spend half its day in a field with a herd and half in a matted stall with private paddock equipped with fly spray and fans. Ideally this horse is kind and forgiving and could even pop over some small jumps as the little girl improves but we do not expect it to be a world class jumper. This would likely be the kind of situation where a very loved horse finds a second career teaching it’s last child to ride. This horse will primarily go english.

Horse number 2- ISO family horse. Will be loved and adored as well. Must be able to WTC. Again, PPE will be done (including drug testing). Must be good on the trails and be ok with a little ring work from time to time. Newish horse people but they have a very supportive barn family and horse will be maintained as mentioned above. Full care barn. Again, a care contract or outright sale works. Happy to sign buy back or first right of refusal. Some maintenance is fine. Horse must be kind and not the kind to take advantage of newer riders and caregivers. Horse will be ridden western but does not need to have all the buttons. Mid 4 digits $X,###.
