First and foremost, I love this mare and do not have a bad thing to say! The decision to list her was not taken lightly, but I need to get at least one sold in the next couple weeks. She is sound and UTD on everything. She’s never been injected and we have had zero lamesness issues! She does have a cosmetic scar and is in front shoes after being trimmed too short before we bought her however she is sound, sound, sound and vet checks are welcome! We have been legging Vette back up after having a beautiful Metallic Malice filly in 2023 and she is about ready to go down the road again! No vices, quirks, or bad habits. Very easy to ride; just leave your hand down and let her work. Very turny/wrappy style with a ton of power. Goes in just a snaffle and is light in the face. 15 hands and an absolute chunk! She would be an absolute asset to any breeding program or run her! Would be willing to sell her with a ‘26 breeding to Jobu for interested parties! This mare is gritty and I truly believe she’s got what it takes to be a rodeo horse. If she doesn’t sell, I’ll trust we’re destined to rodeo together but for now some hard choices have to be made.

The post y’all have been waiting on!

While we are still in the middle of the EHV-1 crisis, we are building our client wait list! We are moving into a beautiful facility in Weatherford, TX and will be offering limited slots for lessons and outside training horses. We set the standard with Higher Ground Ranch in CO, and we look forward to continuing that level of excellence under our new name, Flatland Performance Horses!

I’ve been posting mostly on my personal page about the outbreak and how we are handling it, so I figured I’d share some of our protocol here.

We regularly keep our horses on Equinity and maintenance dosage of Vitamin E as well as Omega 3s to combat inflammation.

With the outbreak, we are giving EPM dosage of Vitamin E and switching from Equinity to Lysine. We are also adding in Colloidal Silver and keeping them on Omega 3s.

I am NOT a vet, however we’ve spent extensive time researching and felt this was the best way to boost immune systems over the next couple weeks.

Further, per our vet’s advice, we had not vaccinated for EHV-1 and will not be doing so now or in the future. Our vet said our horses have a better shot since we have not been “vaccine happy”.

Take this info as you will and feel free to reach out with questions! Remember to stay home and stop the spread!

And that’s a wrap…It’s been a bittersweet week saying goodbye to all my clients and squeezing last rides in.

I want to thank each and every person that has trusted us over the last 5 years! It’s been a hell of a ride and I am so incredibly thankful. Today marked our last race before we start on a new adventure and I couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds!

I’ll admit, I’ll probably be lost for awhile without having training/consignment horses and lessons😆 but I’m grateful for the opportunity to focus on my own crew and rodeo full time. To all my wonderful clients, feel free to message me because I will seriously be lost without y’all😭 I will be back in CO for the summer run and I look forward to hopefully riding with everyone again next summer!

Until then, enjoy the snow😜 and I’ll see everyone next year❤️

With our last consignment horse officially sold (Conrgats to Piper’s new family🥳) we are going to be putting a pause on our consignment and sales program. Over the last few years, we have sold about 40 head!!! Almost all are still in the homes we sold them too and I am blessed to receive updates on almost every horse we’ve sold! THANK YOU to all our amazing buyers and sellers for making our program so successful!

While we plan to start back up in the future, heading into winter was the perfect time for a break as I am a little burnt out🤪 Training and lessons will roll on as usual! Again, thank you to all the amazing people for trusting our program and making it so successful🫶🏻

SEPTEMBER🍁

I have received a TON of requests for lessons with school starting back up! If you are not on the schedule, message me sooner rather than later as I suspect I’ll be full pretty fast!

On training horses, I’m going to offer two 30 day tune up slots. I want to focus on my own ponies this fall so I’ll have limited availability for outside horses. This is a rare occasion where I do not have a 60 day minimum! Now is the time to get them tuned up before the snow❄️ starts falling!

This little lady is on her first trip to town and is such a trooper! We do our best to expose the colts to a little bit of everything during their time with us. A huge thank you to her family for trusting us to start her! She goes home in a couple weeks and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes!

This cute little mare is our final sale horse we have available!! I am so so shocked I still have her! She’s quite literally what everyone is looking for and priced right to boot!

Owners say SELL!!!! There is not a dang thing wrong with this cool little mare but owners need to get her moved asap! The PERFECT all around youth horse! Not to mention she’s an easy keeper and requires NO MAINTENANCE! They say pick 3, but this one is safe, finished, sound, AND CHEAP! Someone is seriously missing out! I’ll have her at Double Check Thurs to try!
